ARCHOS Plans to Introduce Its Vision 215 All-in-One Unit at MWC 2018

The French ARCHOS Co. adds a new device to its product range. The point of the talk is a budget-friendly Vision 215 monoblock, which is quite an extraordinary device. 



At first glance the novelty resembles a standard stylish monitor with thin bezels. The thickness of the display is 6.85 mm only. The diagonal of its Full HD panel with the 1920 х 1080 resolution is 21.5”.


Owing to the platform applied, this All-in-One device costs not much – 300 euro. It is built on the Cherry Trail generation Intel Atom x5-Z8350 CPU. The processor features four cores, operating at 1.44–1.92 GHz frequencies. At the same time the PC is supplied with the 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and the 32 GB eMMC ROM, which may be expanded by microSD cards. One may also install a 2.5-inch drive.

Antec Replenishes High Current Gamer M Series with Two New PSUs

Antec decided to expand its renowned High Current Gamer M series of power supply units with two new models. Codenamed HCG-750M and HCG-850M, the units are characterized by modular cable connectivity and rather high level of efficiency (up to 81% in 230V networks). Not for nothing this couple is honored by 80Plus Bronze certificate that vindicates their prime-quality. It must be noted that existent internal framework is totally the work of Seasonic, Antec’s contractor.



Both new-comers are equipped with four PCI Express Power (6+2)-pin cables and support 10/12/14/16-contact power sockets. The layout consists of two virtual +12V rails, Active PFC mechanism, and high-class Japanese capacitors. HCG-750M allows for the maximal loading on +12V rail of 62A at 744W, whereas HCG-850M allows a bit higher loading of 70A at 840W.

Intel Debuts with 5th Gen Core Mobile CPUs

Within the confines of CES 2015, Intel has officially introduced the fifth generation of Intel Core mobile processors. The lineup is targeting traditional laptops, ultrabooks, 2-in-1 devices, chrome-books, all-in-one items as well as mini-PCs. Besides, the company pin hopes for their CPUs to be additionally implemented within ‘All-inclusive Internet/Internet of Things’ embedded device concept.



New processors are designed according to 14-nm Intel Broadwell architecture. Due to the transition to a brand new technological process, the number of transistors has increased by 35%; herewith, the core area has reduced by 37%. Such innovative move provided for the enhancement of efficiency with simultaneous cut of power consumption. As a result, devices with the integrated Intel Core CPUs are called to run 1.5 hours longer in standalone mode.
