MSI Intros 5 New Videocards Based on GTX 1060 Adapter

MSI has developed 5 different modifications of the latest Nvidia’s adapter entitled GeForce GTX 1060. All the models are based on GP106-300 GPU (Pascal/16 FinFet) with 1152 CUDA cores, 72 TMUs & 48 ROPs. Moreover, they all employ PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface as well as 3 GB of GDDR5 memory (192-bit rail) that operates at 2002/8008 MHz frequency.



The most affordable graphics card – MSI GeForce GTX 1060 3GT OC – runs at 1544/1759 MHz frequency (factory overclocked). The PCB boasts the implementation of top-quality Military Class 4 hardware base & a two-fan cooling system with several heatpipes. The model draws power via a single 6-pin connector.

Gigabyte Showcases New GB-BSi7 Mini-PCs

Gigabyte keeps on refilling its inventory of Intel Skylake-based solutions with a couple of new mini-PCs: Brix GB-BSi7T-6500 & Brix GB-BSi7HT-6500. The greenhorns are designed on a two-core Intel Core i7-6500U CPU that operates at 2.5/3.1 GHz frequency. The processor is accompanied by Intel HD graphics as well as DDR4-2133 MHz RAM (maximum capacity – 32 GB).



The fundamental difference between the two models lies in the storage layout. The GB-BSi7T-6500 features only M.2 slot for the installation of compatible drives, whereas the GB-BSi7HT-6500 adds one SATA 6 Gb/sec interface for 2.5-inch drive. All other specifications are analogous for the mini-PCs.

However, the manufacturer behaves in an intelligent way: first releases its own product and only after some time (about half a year) provides an opportunity to purchase matrices for the needs of other companies. Asus took a chance and bought the technology increasing its range of gaming monitors widely.


One of the new monitors is the 31.5-inch ROG Strix XG32VQ standard WQHD with a scan rate of 144 Hz. What can be said about it?
