Gigabyte Unveils a Pair of Brix GB Mini PCs
Gigabyte has expanded its portfolio by a pair of mini PCs which entered Brix series. The GB-BSi5-6200 & GB-BSi5H-6200 are housed in compact cases (119.4x112.6x34.4 mm & 119.4x112.6x46.8 mm respectively) with a polished metal stylization. Both new-comers take a 2-core Intel Core i5-6200U CPU (14 nm) that is able to operate in a 4-channel mode. Its base clock frequency equals to 2.3 GHz, however during overclocking this index rises to 2.8 GHz.
Gigabyte Brix GB-BSi5-6200 and GB-BSi5H-6200 PCs come with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU. Memory subsystem is represented by two SO-DIMM slots, ready to welcome 6 GB of DDR3L-1600 MHz modules. The first model features one M.2 slot for the connection of storage devices; the second model boasts one M.2 and one SATA III slot, accompanied by a 2.5-inch drive bay.
Both mini PCs accommodate a single PCI Express expansion slot that is taken by Wi-Fi + Bluetooth adapter. Audio subsystem is based on Realtek ALC255 controller, while network facilities are backed by Gigabit Ethernet port rested on Intel I219V controller, and 802.11ac 4.2 wireless module.
The front panel comes equipped with a pair of USB 3.0 ports as well as two audio sockets; the rear panel houses one DC-in, one RJ-45, a couple of USB 2.0 ports, one mini-DisplayPort 1.2, and one HDMI 1.4a port. Moreover, the models come with an integrated 65 W power supply unit and support VESA bracket mounting.
