Galaxy Microsystems Releases Two New Graphics Cards, Based on NVIDIA Pascal – KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White and GTX 1070 EXOC Sniper White

The two novelties by Galaxy Microsystems – GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White and GTX 1070 EXOC Sniper White – are highlighted not only due to their white colouring, but also due to their non-reference cooler and PC-board design, to the factory overclocking and to the LED-backlighting of fans and the aluminium back plate.



These specialties are equipped with a two-slot cooler possessing several copper nickel-plated heat pipes. There are two memory chip life wires and an 8-pin and a 6-pin PCI-E Power connectors.

The main cooling system contains an aluminium heat dissipator for VRM transistors and a pair of 100 mm fans.


Based on the GP104-400 chip, the top-of-the-line model operates 2,560 streaming processors, 160 TMUs, 64 rendering blocks and 256-bit line, which works together with the 8 GB GDDR5X RAM. The KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White frequency formula looks like 1,657–1,797/1,250(10,000) MHz for the core and memory respectively.

The growth of laptop shipments in the second quarter was 5%

Global laptop shipments have faced with glut stocks in March and a weakening global economy in May. That caused the situation of reaching a growth of supply in the second quarter of the year only for 5% compared with the previous, and it fell by 1.8% compared with this period year ago. Shipments totalled just over 50 million units, according to analysts.



Numbers of Acer and Lenovo laptop shipments were at the average level on the world market in comparison the first quarter of the year. Shipments of mobile PCs from HP, Dell and Toshiba have fallen to 4-7%. Most of all with the increase of supply by 36% managed its shipment the ASUS Company.


It is interesting that HP may soon lose its title of leader in the laptop market — China's Lenovo breathes down its neck, lagging behind only with 500,000 units. ASUS surpassed Dell, becoming the fourth largest producer of mobile PCs in the world with a share of 11.3%, and Apple and Samsung are in the seventh and eighth places …
