Contemporary PC monitors are generally based on two types of panels with their variations: TN and IPS. The choice of panel depends on the product's class and destination. However, there are some monitors that employ rather rare arrays, like WVA, which appeared long time ago and now emerge in the market with a bit modified technologies. Acer G276HL is a representative of a small army of monitors based on WVA panel. WVA technology is not new but is called to fulfill all standard assignments to compete with more advanced options.



Specifications and Delivery


Acer G276HL features 27-inch display, 16:9 aspect ratio and 1920x1080 resolution. The monitor employs WVA panel type (6 ms response time) and is equipped with LED lighting. The claimed brightness equals to 300 cd/m2; this is an average index for a semiprofessional display. The number of displayed colors achieves 16.7 millions. EKL Outs Alpenfohn Matterhorn Series of CPU Coolers

EKL comes out to the European market with a pair of CPU coolers, entitled Alpenfohn Matterhorn Black and White Edition. Both items feature 138x100x158 mm dimensions and are differentiated only by color design. They are targeted the majority of up-to-date platforms, including Intel (LGA 775/115x/1366/2011/2011-v3) and AMD (FM2+/FM2/FM1/AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+) versions.



EKL Alpenfohn Matterhorn coolers consist of an aluminum heatsink, six 6-mm copper heatpipes, and a single WingBoost 2 fan (120 mm). It is known to support PWM technology that ensures its rotation within 500 RPM – 1500 RPM ranges. This fan produces up to 62.4 CFM airflow and not more than 18.2 dB noise level.


Pricing is set at 53 EUR.

The side panel is made of tempered glass 4 mm thick. The dimensions of the case are 221 × 508 × 499 mm. The upper panel features audio Mini-Jacks and two USB 3.0 ports.
