NZXT Rolls Out a New Chassis Phantom 630 Windowed Edition

NZXT has proudly announced the release of its newest PC chassis, codenamed Phantom 630 Windowed Edition. Being a modified version of Phantom 630 model, the ‘greenhorn’ is developed in ultra-tower form-factor, featuring a side-panel window. The case supports quite large motherboards (ATX, EATX, XL-ATX, and micro-ATX) and offers nine expansion slots.

Despite visual discrepancy with the original model, Windowed Edition preserved some of its basic features. Therefore, it allows for the integration of four 5.25-inch drives and eight 3.5/2.5-inch ones. The latter are installed into modular bays which can be removed if necessary. The chassis is ready to accept CPU coolers of 200 mm in height and long graphics adapters (up to 325 mm in length). In case the user decides to remove the internal drive bays, it will become possible to employ much longer adapters, up to 507 mm!

The other peculiarity of Phantom 630 Windowed Edition is the feasibility to incorporate two 2.5-inch drives under the motherboard tray. The I/O panel is rich in four USB ports (a pair of 3.0 and analogous number of 2.0 interfaces), a couple of audio slots, SD card reader, and one-channel fan speed controller (3-positional, 30 W power).

Cooling is another thing worth to be mentioned about this chassis. It comes with three pre-installed fans and allows up to ten optional fans. Preinstalled fans: one 200 mm model on the frontal panel, one 140 mm model on the rear panel, and one 200 mm model on the top panel. Optional fans: a pair of 140/120 mm items in the frontal section. One 120 mm item in the rear section, two 120/140 mm items in the base, as well as a couple of 140/200 mm (or three 120 mm) items in the top section. Additionally, the layout stipulates the accommodation of several liquid-cooling heatsinks.

Finally, NZXT decides to present a side panel with a large window as a separate hardware piece. This panel is thought to support NZXT Phantom 630 and H630 chassis models and will be available in the market in three color variations.
