Eizo Intros Professional ColorEdge CS240 Monitor

Eizo, a well-known Japanese designer of professional visual solutions, is about to launch its newest CS240 monitor that replenished ColorEdge series. The model features 24-inch display and 575x553x245 mm overall dimensions. It is intended at those professionals who require the utmost color rendering (i.e. photo/video editors, graphical designers), due to the availability of an in-built correctional sensor for color calibration. Pricing is so far unknown, although shipping contents will definitely include a 5-year’s limited warranty.

Eizo ColorEdge CS240 offers 1920x1080 display resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and is based on an advanced IPS panel. The latter ensures the ultimate brightness of 350 cd/m2, a quite fast 7.7 ms response time, the widest viewing angles (178 degrees in both planes), as well as 1000:1 static contrast. The integrated visual facilities allow for displaying up to 99% color gamut in Adobe RGB environment. The model consumes not more than 27 W power at average, still the maximal index of power consumption might achieve 68 W.

To continue, this monitor accommodates three video ports (located on the rear panel): DisplayPort, DVI-I and HDMI, all with HDCP support. Moreover, HDMI is thought to support Deep Color option, whereas DisplayPort promotes for the image display in 10-bit presentation thanks to 16-channel LUT. Connectivity is realized by means of an in-built USB 2.0 hub, offering two ports.

CS240 comes with a multifunctional stand. It provides for the change of pitch by 30 degrees, rotation by 344 degrees, height by 128 mm, and allows switching the display into vertical orientation. In addition, it’s feasible to use the monitor as a wall screen, due to VESA mounting bracket.

Furthermore, Eizo equips the new-comer with dedicated utilities to enhance its visual performance. Hence, ColorNavigator 6 utility enables ICC profiles generation, while ColorNavigator NX allows creating and copying all established settings.
