Biostar to Release a Budget-Oriented A68I-450 Deluxe Motherboard

Biostar Microtech is going to release a new budget-oriented motherboard of mini-ITX form-factor. Codenamed Biostar A68I-450 Deluxe, it is peculiar by the employment of an onboard two-core hybrid processor – AMD 450D. The latter comprises two x86 Bobcat blocks, running at 1.65 GHz, and an in-built AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics that is compatible with DirectX 11 standard. It should be noted that this CPU is cooled down thanks to a small-sized fan.



The motherboard is based on AMD A68 chipset for socket BGA FT1. It is able to offer a pair of 240-contact DIMM slots for DDR3 RAM with the maximal clock frequency of 1066 MHz (up to 16 GB modules). Expansion facilities are represented by a single PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, while storage is secured by three SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports. Network operation is relied on gigabit Ethernet adapter (Realtek RTL8111F), whereas audio subsystem runs under Realtek ALC662 controller, providing 5.1-channel sounding.

Deepcool Introduces a Universal IceEdge 400 E CPU Cooler

Deepcool Industries, a well-known Chinese designer of multifarious cooling solutions, is going to launch its newest universal CPU cooler, entitled IceEdge 400 E (Elite Edition). The new-comer has got a tower-type design and features 100x86x125.5 mm dimensions.


This model is predestined to be incorporated into all contemporary platforms, including Intel’s LGA775/1150/1155/1156 and AMD’s 754/939/940/FM1/FM2/AM2(+)/AM3(+). Moreover, it is able to cool down rather hot processors, which TDP level reaches 130 W.


Deepcool IceEdge 400 E consists of a heatsink block, featuring thin aluminum plates, four copper heatpipes that support direct contact technology, and a single 92 mm fan. The latter is based on a fluid bearing and develops speed up to 2200 RPM. The maximal noise level it is producing approximates 26 dB. The fan is fixed due to wire spikes.

Welcome in MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G Golden Edition Video Card

MSI has finally gladdened its gaming fans with a new ‘golden’ graphics card, entitled GTX 970 Gaming 4G Golden Edition. The model is based on Nvidia’s GM204-200-A1 GPU (Maxwell architecture) with 1644 CUDA cores, 104 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and 13 SMM units. Connection with visual devices might be realized via dual DVI ports, a single HDMI, and one DisplayPort.



Thanks to the support of MSI Gaming App, users are free to select one of the working modes: Silent, Gaming or OC. Each of them is differentiated by nominal and dynamic clock frequencies, Hereby, in Silent mode this adapter runs at 1051 MHz/1178 MHz (nominal/dynamic); Gaming mode provides for 1140 MHz/1279 MHz frequency, while OC allows increasing both indices up to 1165 MHz/1317 MHz correspondingly.


The integrated GPU cooperates with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface, 224 Gb/sec throughput index). Its nominal clock frequency makes up 1751 MHZ, but its efficient index rises up to 7010 MHz.
