​EVGA CLC 280 – Review of the Liquid Cool Perfection

Introduction

CLC means Closed Loop CPU Cooler. The given model is available in several variations. Today we are talking about EVGA CLC 280, but still we will notice some differences between bigger and younger brother.

The price differs greatly between the two models. The CLC 120 can be purchased for 99.90 euros, and the price of CLC 280 is 149,90 euros. Coolers belong to expensive models. But EVGA promises a sufficient amount of privilege for this price: high cooling performance, low noise level, efficient software and synchronization of the backlight with EVGA GeForce GTX video cards.

In Win MARS — an Extraordinary Fan with Three Degrees of Freedom

In Win Development has recently announced the MARS chassis fan, which is able to control the airflow direction.

 

This fan consists of an aluminium base of the 120 mm typical size, an aluminium swivel lever, three pivots and a framework-enclosed propeller. The arm of the fan lets adjust its position and angle for every hard-to-get-at place to be chilled down.

 

The novelty, being built on the dual ball bearing, rotates at the speed of 600–1,400 rpm, ensures the 66 m³/h airflow, the 0.7 mm w.g. air pressure, the 25 dBA ultimate noise level, and weighs 220 g. The mean time between breakdowns is 50 thousand hours.

 

The fan is supplied with a special 2.5 mm interface and two cords. The first one, being 800 mm long, is equipped with a 4-pin connector for the motherboard linking, and the second one is 600 mm long and is used for connection to the USB port. Thus, In Win MARS can perform the function of a standard desktop fan.

MSI Unveils New Gaming Graphics Card GeForce GTX 760 Hawk

MSI has recently introduced its newest graphics adapter with the support of Twin BIOS technology. Codenamed MSI GeForce GTX 760 Hawk, the card positions itself as an optimal solution for inveterate gamers, as well as for overclockers. The new-comer is based on Nvidia’s GK104 GPU (28 nm technological process) with 1152 CUDA cores. It runs on dynamically heightened frequencies, as compared with the reference model.



Therefore, the nominal clock frequency has been raised from 980 MHz to 1033 MHz, whereas the overclocked frequency has jumped from 1111 MHz to 1176 MHz. As for the memory, represented by 2 GB GDDR5 modules with 256-bit rail, its frequency index has not undergone any changes: 1502 MHz/6008 MHz (nominal/overclocked).
