Asus Launches Affordable 27-Inch VP278N Monitor

Asus is well-known for introducing multiple components for various customer groups. Mainstream segment is probably the main focus of the manufacturer. This time the lineup of affordable products has been replenished by a 27-inch monitor, entitled VP278N. In order to reduce production costs, Asus has implemented TN panel with Full HD resolution, rather than the top-notch 4K IPS panel.



The integrated TN panel promotes for a striking response time index – 1 ms. The display boasts some other outstanding specifications which allow it to compete with comrades from the high-end echelon in quality. Thus, it offers: 16:9 aspect ratio, 170/160 degrees viewing angles, 300 cd/m2 maximal brightness, and 100M:1 dynamic contract.

Asus Showcases Radeon R9 280 Strix OC Edition Graphics Card

The lineup of Asus Strix graphics cards, in addition to GeForce GTX 780 model, has been replenished with one more representative – the Radeon R9 280 Strix OC Edition (codename: Strix-R9280-OC-3GD5). The heart of the card is AMD Radeon R9 280 GPU (Tahiti PRO) with overclocked clock frequencies. Hence, the GPU index has been increased from etalon 933 MHz (overclocked) to 980 MHz. This provides for even more striking performance on gaming and overclocking cessions.



The graphics card is equipped with 3 GB of GDDR5 memory featuring 384-bit rail.
