Motherboard Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 Review

The second generation of AMD A-Series hybrid processors, announced earlier in October, are already integrated in a number of graphics solutions. The newly appeared products are compatible with Socket FM2 only and cannot be applied for Socket FM1 infrastructure. This implies that a number of motherboards lose their upgrade facilities and can't be updated with a new advanced solution. Still, the market is currently ready to present a few boards destined to operate with the updated AMD A-Series. Gigabyte is one of the pioneers in this respect, introducing its motherboard GA-F2A85X-UP4, developed specifically for Socket FM2.

Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 is designed in ATX form-factor with 305x244 mm PCB dimensions. AMD A85X chipset is a heart of the motherboard; it secures the compatibility with A-Series (second gen.) MSI AM1I: Motherboard with Military Class 4 Hardware Base

MSI is one of the first manufacturers to introduce a motherboard for the newly launched AMD AM1 platform. The MSI AM1I features rather compact dimensions (170x170 mm) but its mini-ITX form-factor does not affect the specified functional possibilities for entry-level systems. The model supports AMD Athlon/Sempron processors for the above-mentioned socket.



The employment of Military Class 4 hardware base is supposed to be a major advantage of AM1I motherboard. It involves dark chokes, dark capacitors and other crucial components, which are backed by Military Class Essentials technology. The latter is called to protect the PCB from varied unfavorable happenings, i.e. high humidity, electrostatic discharge or high temperatures.

The range manufactured by SHENZHEN JIEHE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CO., Ltd. of small-sized desktop computers is provided by Giada company.



Developer of productive PC in nettop form factor, announced sales of the new Mini PC i53, using mobile processors Core i3/i5/i7-3000 (Ivy Bridge) and the platform Intel HM76. The trump of the computer is its dimensions — 192 (W) x 155 (W) x 26 (H) mm, which roughly corresponds to the usual format of the book.


Giada Mini PC i53 is made ​​in the case of strict colour. It has a built-in graphics Intel HD 4000, from 2 to 4 GB of RAM SO-DIMM DDR3, 2,5-inch hard disk drive with 320 or 500 GB, wireless adapters Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g / n) and Bluetooth.
