It goes without saying that modern games advance tough demands towards the volume of video buffer. This aspect emerges full-blown when it goes about the creation of multi-screen platforms and during manipulations with professional graphics. Considering this fact, Gigabyte has launched one more representative of GeForce GTX 960 series – the GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming (codename: GV-N960WF2-4GD) with an enlarged GDDR5 video memory (4 GB instead of 2 GB).



Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming is developed on Nvidia GM206 GPU (Nvidia Maxwell architecture) that can operate in two modes, presumed by OC Guru II software package. The first mode, Gaming, offers etalon 1127 MHz/1178 MHz clock frequency, while the second one, OC, is distinguished by increased frequencies: 1152 MHz/1203 MHz (nominal/dynamic). In its turn, video memory runs at 1752 MHz (nominal) and 7010 MHz (effective) frequency.

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 Review

The second generation of AMD A-Series hybrid processors, announced earlier in October, are already integrated in a number of graphics solutions. The newly appeared products are compatible with Socket FM2 only and cannot be applied for Socket FM1 infrastructure. This implies that a number of motherboards lose their upgrade facilities and can't be updated with a new advanced solution. Still, the market is currently ready to present a few boards destined to operate with the updated AMD A-Series. Gigabyte is one of the pioneers in this respect, introducing its motherboard GA-F2A85X-UP4, developed specifically for Socket FM2.

Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 is designed in ATX form-factor with 305x244 mm PCB dimensions. AMD A85X chipset is a heart of the motherboard; it secures the compatibility with A-Series (second gen.) Non-reference GTX 760 Graphics Adapter with S.A.C. Cooling from Elsa

Elsa, a well-known Japanese manufacturer of graphics solutions for PC systems, is going to release its own non-reference model of Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 adapter. Codenamed Elsa GeForce GTX 760 S.A.C., the card is based on an original PCB with PCI-e 3.0 x16 interface. The heart of the model is GK104-225 chip (an estimated performance equals to 2.3 GFLOPS), designed under 28 nm Kepler microarchitecture. It features 1152 CUDA cores, 32 ROPs, 96 TMUs, and runs at the nominal 980 MHz frequency (1033 MHz on overclocking).



Graphics card GTX 760 S.A.C. carries 2GB memory of GDDR5 type that is equipped with 256-bit bus and operates at 6008 MHz clock frequency (effective index). Power supply process is realized via two 6-pin sockets. It should be noted that this model is known to consume not more than 170 W power. The reverse side of PCB contains video interface panel with four outputs: DisplayPort, HDMI, Dual Link DVI-D, Dual Link DVI-I.
