Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor: Revolution in the World of Gamers

Introduction

 

 At Gamescom 2017 Samsung Corporation presented a large and very wide curved gaming monitor QLED CHG90. The novelty has already been talked for some time because this is really the first model in the world with a 32:9 aspect ratio, support for AMD's FreeSync 2 HDR-ready technology and a whole bunch of various additional "buns" for a rather demanding gamer audience. How much expectations were met, it will become clear very soon on the feedback of consumers, but at first glance the device really deserves attention. In this review, we'll take a closer look at what is so interesting about this model and what additional opportunities it offers to avid gamers and ordinary users.

Meet a Pair of High-Efficiency M6 and M.2 SSDs from Plextor

Plextor, an established data storage manufacturer from Japan, announces the release of two new solid-state drive series – the M6 and the M.2. Both new-comers are marked by some outstanding efficiency facilities and completely new design. The M6 SSDs are developed in 2.5-inch design but are housed in ultrathin aluminum cases of 5 mm depth only. They are based on Marvell 88SS9187 controller and MLC NAND flash-memory of Toggle type (19 nm technological process).



The M6 drives feature high-speed SATA III 6 Gb/sec interface and support Plextor TrueSpeed technology. It should be noted that these SSDs are thought to support up to 1 GB RAM – DDR2-800 or DDR3-800 — used as cache. With the attempt to satisfy the needs of diverse customer audiences, Plextor is going to release the M6 modifications: M6 Pro models for high-performance tasks and M6S for ordinary users.

Foxconn Introduces Two Motherboards on Intel NM70 Chipset

Foxconn is proud to introduce a pair of new mini-ITX motherboards, developed on Intel NM70 chipset. Entitled D70S-P and D70S-PD, this couple is intended for the incorporation into small-sized, power-saving and low-noise PCs, workstations, network and multimedia stations. Both new-comers are initially equipped with two-core Intel Celeron U1037 CPUs (Ivy Bridge generation). They operate at 1.8 GHz and consume 17 W only.



Foxconn D70S-P and D70S-PD feature an integrated Intel HD Graphics core that ensures smooth and quality imaging on movie watching (support for Full HD resolutions), game playing (with average demands), Internet surfing, and work with various applications. Cooling of all crucial components, including the key computing block, is secured by means of an aluminum heatsink with an onboard low-profile fan. Despite the dimensions, 170x170 mm only, the product allows for the incorporation of any contemporary hardware pieces.
