QUMO Enters SSD Market with a New High-End Series

QUMO, a Japanese manufacturer of various PC components, decided to enter the SSD market to expand its production line. Its new SSD series is going to compete for potential customers throughout the world with already established and renowned suppliers to this industry. The series comprises 4 models of 60GB, 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB capacity. All of them are based on SandForce SF-2281 controller and use MLC NAND flash-memory (synchronous). Those SSDs are also known to support SATA III high-speed interface.



The advantage of QUMO drives is primarily seen in their reduced power consumption and heat dissipation. The drives are equipped with a range of dedicated technologies that protect them from overloading, humidity, and other unfavorable impacts. All models promote for the quick 'cold' activation, while traditional HDDs require some time for the spindle spinning. Transcend produces memory kits aXeRam DDR3-2400 and DDR3-2133 with 8 GB of memory

The widely represented in the market a series of RAM sets Transcend aXeRam is now added with dual channel kit DDR3 of 8 GB with an effective frequency of 2133 and 2400 MHz. Modules are routinely equipped with aluminum radiators with high «scallops» and support overclocking profiles Intel XMP 1.3, actual for the processors Intel Ivy Bridge.



The package Transcend aXeRam DDR3-2133 2x 4 GB consists of two brackets with a combination of delay of memory 10-11-10-27 and moderate voltage 1.6 V. The Specs of the Gigabyte Brix GB-EACE-3450 Compact PC Are Already Unveiled

Gigabyte has unveiled specifications of its Brix GB-EACE-3450 mini PC, however, the device is not on the market yet.



As distinct from many Brix series products, GB-EACE-3450 is anything but a gaming solution. It is based on the 14 nm Intel Celeron N3450 (Apollo Lake) processor and doesn’t have a discrete graphics core.

Ultimate RAM capacity of this compact PC comes up to 8 GB; and one can use M.2 SSD drives for storage. The cooling system is passive, so long as the case acts as a heat sink.


Brix GB-EACE-3450 offers many connectivity possibilities. Customers can use four USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI outputs, two Gigabit Ethernet and an audio jack. The presence of the RJ-45 port allows to connect RS232/422/485 through the help of adapter. Other highlights include wireless net adapters, a card reader, an inner slot for a cellular modem, three antennas and a VESA mounting bracket, which lets fix the mini PC behind a display.
