Gigabyte to Start the Sales of G1.Sniper B5 Motherboard

Gigabyte is planning to start the sales of its newest motherboard that entered G1.Sniper series. Codenamed G1.Sniper B5, the ATX model features 30.5x22.5 mm dimensions and is based on Intel B85 Express chipset. It is equipped with socket LGA1150, supporting latest Intel Haswell (Core line) CPUs. The layout and incorporated facilities prove the motherboard’s orientation on advanced gamers’ segment.



Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5 has been elaborated in compliance with a brand Gigabyte Ultra Durable 4 Plus design concept. The latter is called to elongate the lifespan of all the components and enhance their productivity by providing the utmost security measures. Hence, key components, including high-end solid-state capacitors, are protected from high temperatures, static voltage, humidity, and voltage fluctuations. This board takes use of Nichicon capacitors, which are targeted audio devices; they promote for a more immersive sounding and audio effects while on game.

Corsair Introduces HXi 80Plus Platinum Power Supply Units

Corsair, a multi-profile American company, starts shipping new high-end PSUs of HXi series. The series currently combines three models with a totally modular design and the employment of Japanese electrolytic capacitors. Corsair HXi 750 W, Corsair HXi 850 W and Corsair HXi 1000 W models are distinguished by the highest efficiency of 91% that results in the conferment of 80Plus Platinum certificate.

Sapphire Showcases Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic Solution

Sapphire Technology Ltd. is going to release a new graphics card on Tahiti LE chip. Codenamed Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic, the card is one of the first models to use the newest GPU, developed under 28 nm technological process. The suffix 'GHz Edition' in the model's name witnesses that the nominal GPU clock frequency exceeds the index of 1 GHz.



The core of Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Toxic is based on Graphics Core Next architecture and contains 1536 current processors. The card's inventory involves 2GB of GDDR5 memory with 256-bit bus interface. The memory modules are known to operate at 6000 MHz frequency. GPU operational frequencies are still not clarified, but it's possible to assume that on activation of AMD PowerTune option the card will demonstrate some outstanding performance. In fact, analysts dare saying that this model is the most efficient one among all other solutions based on Tahiti LE chip.
