The 35” 21:9 Agon AG352UCG Monitor by AOC Is a Smart Display for Gaming Purposes

The Agon series by AOC has been recently replenished by a unique 35-inch GSYNC monitor for gaming purposes, named AG352UCG.



This novelty features a vertically aligned display with a 2000 mm curvature radius and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. Its refresh factor equals to 100 Hz, and the response time – to 3 ms. Simultaneously the screen covers 100 % of the sRGB colour gamut and provides the 2500:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 of brightness, as well as 178/178 view angles.


Regarding the supported Shadow Control, Flicker-Free technology with a DC backlighting, Low Blue Light mode, a withdrawable headset holder and a handle, AOC AG352UCG can be justly called a smart device for true gamers. Customisable blue, green and red LED lights on the lower and back bezel, stereospeakers and an ergonomic AOC Ergo Base stand provide additional comfort during utilizing.


The monitor offers one DisplayPort, one HDMI ports along with microphone in/out and audio out.

Jonsbo Introduces the CR-601 RGB Tower-Type Processor Cooler

Jonsbo, the Chinese PC cases and cooling systems vendor, is going to delight customers with its new product soon. What is meant here is a tower-type CPU cooler under the CR-601 RGB code name.



As the name tells us, the novelty has the 256-color RGB LED-backlighting. Its construction features an aluminum base, an array of aluminum fins, four 6 mm thick copper heat tubes, ensuring direct contact with the CPU cover, and a 120 mm fan.


The fan, supporting the PWM function, rotates in the range of 800–1,500 RPM, producing noise of around 17.5–31.2 dBA. The specialty can endure thermal loads of up to 130 W.


Jonsbo CR-601 RGB, weighing 650 g, is 122 mm long, 75 mm wide and 158 mm high. It’s compatible with Intel LGA775, LGA115x, AMD AM2(+), AM3(+), AM4, FM1 and FM2(+) processor platforms. The manufacturer didn't speak a word about pricing.

IBM, Intel, AMD, Cray, HPE and NVIDIA Have Been Awarded a Grant for Exaflop Supercomputer Development

The most effective supercomputer is launched in China today. The system, called Sunway TaihuLight, operates locally developed processors. The ultimate Sunway TaihuLight productivity is 125 petaflops. In 2020 China plans to generate the first system in the world with a capacity overcoming one exaflops. At present the USA stays behind, however American supercomputers’ energy performance is significantly higher.



The US Department of Energy has established a $258 million grant for cost effective exaflop supermachines construction. Six American companies (IBM, Intel, AMD, Cray, HPE and NVIDIA) won it. Now they are to create an architecture, able to consume 25–30 MW at one exaflop productiveness. Such a system’s deployment is to take place in 2021. Apart from funds committed, each member company of the Exascale Computing Project program will put up its own means, constituting around 40% of DOE’s funds.
