The heart of DiskStation DS1515 is Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-314 platform with 1.4 GHz processor and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. The greenhorn is equipped with a couple of USB 3.0 ports, a pair of eSATA ports, and a single 4-port gigabit Ethernet controller.Synology DiskStation 1515 features five screwless bays for 3.5-/2.5-inch HDDs which support hot swapping option. The total capacity of all drives might not exceed 40 TB (5x 8 TB). This storage supports the creation of varied RAID configurations (0, 1, 5, 6, 10) as well as JBOD.
