The new LC Power chassis family has been presented. This line includes such models as Gaming 986S White Shadow and Gaming 986B Dark Shadow of the Midi-Tower type.

These products are made out of aluminum, and side panels are manufactured out of darkened tempered glass. Dimensions are the following: 482 × 223 × 467 mm, the weight is approximately 9 kg.



The LC Power Gaming 986 Series frameworks allow to mount the ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX typical size motherboards. There’s enough place for seven expansion cards, including discrete graphics accelerators of up to 420 mm length.


Users can embed up to five 3.5-inch drives and up to three 2.5-inch storage devices. The CPU cooler must be not higher than 170 mm.


In general these chassis can hold up to seven 120-mm fans – three on the front, two on top, one on the back side and one additional. There are two fans with backlighting in the supply kit.

Silicon Power, a well-known developer of flash-memory drives, as well as HHD and DRAM, has replenished its inventory with two new SSD series, codenamed Velox V55 and Slim S55. All the models included into the lineups are traditionally designed in 2.5-inch form-factor. Both series will be represented in the market by three models of 60 GB, 120 GB and 240 GB capacity. Their major advantage over rival products lies in acceleration of all operations connected with upload, speed boosting and general performance. Therefore, these SSDs are just perfect for ‘highly-demanding’ users.



Velox V55 solid-state drives are housed in resistant cases made of polished aluminum. All three models feature identical dimensions: 100x70x9 mm and weigh 79 g. The drives are based on SandForce controller and employ SATA III (6 Gb/sec) interface. While prices for RAM memory rise, Chinese semiconductor makers are forced to intensify at producing their own DRAM chipsets. A short while ago the Xi’an UniIC Semiconductors company began to accept orders for certain DDR4 mem modules and microchips, which made this vendor the first Chinese chipset manufacturer, producing DRAM of this type in its home country.



Among its products Xi’an UniIC Semiconductors offers 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 memory modules, performed in the DIMM and SO-DIMM form factors, as well as DIMM modules of 4 GB capacity, supporting ECC. All the devices are aimed at operation at the 1.2 V voltage in the DDR4-2133 mode, and feature CL15 delay time.

 

One ought to remember, though, these DDR4 modules are destined for internal market and currently it’s not clear if they will go further. Anyway, a new entrant at the DDR4 memory market should improve the situation with the RAM kits and modules retail pricing.
