Kingston KC1000 SSDs Are Equipped With the PCIe 3.0 x4 Interface and Support the NVMe Protocol

The Kingston Company has announced the release of KC1000 solid-state drives, which are equipped with the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface and support the latest NVMe protocol. These products feature the MLC NAND flash memory and the Phison PS5007-E7 controller.



The KC1000 sequential read speed achieves 2,700 MB/sec; and the ultimate sequential write velocity is 900 MB/sec with the smallest capacity model and 1,600 MB/sec with other samples. The novelty supplies up to 290,000 IOPS. During the period of service Kingston solid-state disks, being available in 240, 480 and 960 GB, endure 300, 550 and 1000 TB of data respectively. In addition, we should remark, the SSD provides enhanced endurance and power saving.


Delivering of this M.2 2280 type device starts in the middle of June. The cost is unveiled yet, however, it is reported, that specialties are protected by a five-year warranty and intend Kingston support.

The Thermaltake Versa N27 Chassis Will Be Available in Two Versions

The Versa line of Thermaltake chassis has been extended by the Versa N27 Mid-Tower model, designed either in black (Versa N27 namely) or in white and black (Versa N27 Snow Edition). The code names of these products are CA-1H6-00M1WN-00 and CA-1H6-00M6WN-00 respectively.



The new PC cases by Thermaltake offer mounting seats for a Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX or ATX mother board, 7 PCI/PCI Express expansion cards, ATX-compatible power supply unit, a 160 mm CPU cooler, up to four 3.5” HDD or five 2.5” SSD. The graphics card length restriction is 250 mm.


Two out of five NAND flash memory based drives are located in other than basic sectors – behind the mother board tray and on the supply unit cover. The latter is supposed to be optional. The supply kit contains one 120 mm fan on the back panel. In total there is enough space for at least 5 fans.


The interface panel on top features a USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports, as well as headphones and microphone jacks.
