Adata Announces a Couple of External High-Speed DashDrive Elite SSDs

Adata Technology, a Taiwanese manufacturer of RAM modules and diverse flash peripherals, announces the release of two new external solid-state drives that entered DashDrive Elite lineup. Codenamed SE720 and SE810, this couple positions itself quite differently: the first model is oriented at OS Windows users, while the second model is targeting Mac users. Despite diverse predestination, both drives are ready to offer high performance combined with extreme reliability.



Adata DashDrive Elite SE720 will be available in two flash-memory capacities: 128 GB and 256 GB. Each model features a thin, stainless metallic case with 8.9 mm depth and scratch-proof surface. These solid-state drives employ USB 3.0 interface and are powered via USB cable. They are known to support a built-in option of quick backup, which is enabled just by pressing one button. Additionally, SE720 drives have got a convenient LED indication system that notifies the user about the data transfer process.

Deepcool Unveils Plans for Quanta DQ Power Supply Units

Deepcool Industries Co. Ltd., is about to launch a couple of new power supply units, codenamed Quanta DQ1000 and Quanta DQ1250. Both models feature 150x200x86 mm dimensions and come with a semi-modular design (24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS cables are non-detachable). As seen from the codenames, they offer 1000 W and 1250 W power that is quite enough to energize the most demanding gaming systems.



PSU Deepcool Quanta DQ1000 might boast the availability of 80 Plus Gold certificate, due to 92% efficiency level. This unit comes with a single +12V rail, which produces up to 999 W power at 83.3 A current. In its turn, Quanta DQ1250 has got 80 Plus Platinum certificate, since it is able to demonstrate up to 94% efficiency at the highest loading. Unlike its companion, this model houses two +12V rails with 45 A and 65 A current for both.

Gigabyte Unveils Middle-End Radeon R7 265 OC Edition Graphics Card

Gigabyte has recently announced the release of its first graphics card based on Radeon R7 265 adapter. The Gigabyte Radeon R7 265 OC Edition comes with operational overclocking and a powerful WindForce 2X cooling system. Still, it is attributed to the middle-end products with an average performance. The model will be available for customers in late March for the recommended price of $170.



This graphics card is developed on AMD Pitcairn Pro GPU (GCN, 28 nm) that embraces 1024 stream processors, 32 ROPs, and 64 TMUs. The core runs at the nominal 1008 MHz frequency but can be overclocked to 1036 MHz margin. Video memory section is represented by 2 GB of GDDR5 memory modules (256-bit interface); they operate at 1400 MHz/5600 MHz frequency (nominal/efficient) respectively.
