G11DF Is the First ASUS Desktop Based on the AMD Ryzen Platform

During the Computex 2017 exhibition ASUS presented its latest gaming G11DF PC, based on the flagship 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 1800X processor (Zen microarchitecture with the AMD B350 system logic). This is the first ASUS desktop, built on the Ryzen platform.



Customers can choose between configurations with AMD or NVIDIA GPUs, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and AMD Radeon RX 480 models. Ultimate RAM DDR4-2400 memory capacity is 32 GB. As a storage device one can use a 3 TB HDD or a 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD.


In its basic configuration, G11DF features a gigabit Ethernet port; however, optionally one can obtain models with extra Wi-Fi 802.11ac wireless connectivity support. The front panel contains two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A and two USB 2.0 ports. The back side has a USB 3.0 Type-C, four USB 3.0 Type-A and two USB 2.0 ports.

Intel is preparing a new motherboard on chipset Z77 and Z75

Intel Corporation has a rather wide range of motherboards for processors Core i5/i7-3000 (Ivy Bridge), but, nevertheless, continues to produce products based on chipsets 7-Series. According to reports, the release of two motherboards Intel LGA1155 — DZ77GAL-70K is planned soon with code-named Gasper Light and DZ75ML-45K (Middle Lake). The first model uses a set of system logic Z77, second — Z75. Both models will receive a certificate of Windows 8 WHQL, support of Fast Boot technology and Lucid Virtu MVP.



Model Intel DZ77GAL-70K is based on the same PCB, as the previous DZ77GA-70K (Gasper) and DZ77RE-75K (Roads End). In contrast to the board DZ77GA-70K, new doesn’t have a rich set of delivery: WiDi-compatible adapter with an antenna, Bluetooth, remote panel with two USB 3.0 ports and a mouse pad Intel Extreme Series.
