ZOTAC ZBOX PI225 and ZOTAC ZBOX PI335 mini PCs represent a perfect combination of rather compact sizes and attractive price marks. Both devices are based on a 2-core 6 W Intel Celeron N3350 (2/2 x 1.1–2.4 GHz) processing unit of the Intel Apollo Lake series, equipped with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 graphics core. The volume of preinstalled LPDDR3 memory reaches 4 GB, and the eMMC drive capacity is 32 GB. Simultaneously one may use microSD card reader or external USB drives for expanding ROM.

Samsung PM1633a 15.36 TB – the Most Capacious SSD to Date

Immediately following the release of 10-/13-terabyte SSDs by Fixstars, Samsung has made haste to introduce the most voluminous solutions to date, offering 15.36 TB capacity. According to the manufacturers, the PM1633a series will be further on replenished by 5 other models of 480 GB, 960 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB and 7.68 TB capacity.

Deepcool is preparing a new cooler with heat pipes

Deepcool production company of inexpensive and quite efficient cooling systems has provided a sample of CPU cooler — Big Frost (tentative codename), which is an extension of current Frostwin model. Previous model has 4 sintered powder heatpipes, which conduct heat from the processor to protect it from overheating. Also, like a new model, it has 120mm fans.



New model has a simple design, but strict, almost «standard», forms will not prevent it from showing a decent performance. It works with less noise and performs an effective cooling. Big Frost consists of a nickel-plated copper base with a miniature auxiliary radiator, six U-shaped copper heatpipes, each of 6 mm in diameter, and two sections of aluminium plates of similar thickness. Pre-installed fans are running at different speeds. One turns with intensity of 1300 r / min (22.6 dB noise), the other — in the range from 900 to 1500 rev / min (21,4-32,1 dB).
