The two novelties by Galaxy Microsystems – GeForce GTX 1080 EXOC Sniper White and GTX 1070 EXOC Sniper White – are highlighted not only due to their white colouring, but also due to their non-reference cooler and PC-board design, to the factory overclocking and to the LED-backlighting of fans and the aluminium back plate.



These specialties are equipped with a two-slot cooler possessing several copper nickel-plated heat pipes. There are two memory chip life wires and an 8-pin and a 6-pin PCI-E Power connectors.

The main cooling system contains an aluminium heat dissipator for VRM transistors and a pair of 100 mm fans.


Based on the GP104-400 chip, the top-of-the-line model operates 2,560 streaming processors, 160 TMUs, 64 rendering blocks and 256-bit line, which works together with the 8 GB GDDR5X RAM. The lineup of Asus Strix graphics cards, in addition to GeForce GTX 780 model, has been replenished with one more representative – the Radeon R9 280 Strix OC Edition (codename: Strix-R9280-OC-3GD5). The heart of the card is AMD Radeon R9 280 GPU (Tahiti PRO) with overclocked clock frequencies. Hence, the GPU index has been increased from etalon 933 MHz (overclocked) to 980 MHz. This provides for even more striking performance on gaming and overclocking cessions.



The graphics card is equipped with 3 GB of GDDR5 memory featuring 384-bit rail. Its frequency has also been increased, demonstrating 1300 MHz at the start and reaching 5200 MHz at the toughest loading. Scythe, a well-known Japanese designer of top-notch PC cases & cooling systems, announces the release in the European market of its general-duty CPU cooler, entitled Grand Kama Cross 3 (codename: SCGKC-3000). The greenhorn features 171x147x140 mm dimensions and weighs 790 g. It is compatible with an overwhelming majority of Intel and AMD platforms (except for AM1). Pricing is set at 40 EUR.



Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 consists of a two-section aluminum heatsink that includes multi-form ribs, a copper base, four copper heatpipes, and a 140-mm fan GlideStream. The latter supports PWM technology which allows the blades to rotate within 400 RPM and 1300 RPM range. On low revolutions the airflow reaches 50.8 CFM, while on the peak rotational index the airflow achieves 165.1 CFM index. Despite high efficiency, the noise level remains on a comfortable level: 12.5-30.7 dB.
