New Freezer 12/12 CO Coolers Push the Arctic Company Forward

On a recent day, the Arctic Co. has broadened its CPU coolers range with the Freezer 12 and Freezer 12 CO (CO means “continuous operation”) samples under the ACFRE00027A and ACFRE00030A code names.



The heatsink is the same for both coolers; fans are different, though. The Freezer 12 fan is built on a hydrodynamic bearing, and Freezer 12 CO is based on a fan with a dual ball bearing, which operates extremely long comparing to the better part of models.


The heat dissipator is designed so, that U-shaped 6 mm copper heat pipes stay in touch with each other, thus enhancing the cooling system productivity. The aluminium pressure plate and 45 bent radiator fins also contribute to that.


Fans start to operate at the PWM signal with 40 % pulse width and ensure passive CPU cooling while completing trivial tasks. This lets coolers work silently during such periods. The ultimate noise rate is 22.5 dBA, and the max speed comes up to 2,000 rpm.

The ASUS EX-A320M-GAMING Motherboard Demonstrates 144 Hours of Steady Operation

To the delight of all gamers the ASUS Co. introduced its latest mother card, called ASUS EX-A320M-GAMING. The novelty is built on the AMD A320 chipset (the Socket AM4 platform). It is also expected to be a perfect base for constructing cyber cafe gaming systems, as far as it has shown 144 hours of steady operation.



ASUS EX-A320M-GAMING, produced in the microATX (244 х 244 mm) format, offers four DIMM-slots for up to 64 GB of the DDR4 memory (2,666 MHz), one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot for a graphics accelerator, the M.2 Socket 3 interface, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports for the drive subsystem, the gigabit Realtek RTL8111H LAN controller, as well as an 8-channel Realtek ALC887 audio codec. External interface solutions contain a DVI-D, an HDMI, an RJ45, two PS/2, four USB 3.1 Gen 1, a couple of USB 2.0 connectors and three audio jacks.

CORSAIR Releases the Fastest VENGEANCE SODIMM DDR4 Modules Set for Compact Systems

The CORSAIR company releases the fastest set of SO-DIMM modules ever – CORSAIR VENGEANCE SODIMM DDR4 4,000MHz 32GB (CMSX32GX4M4X4000C19), the total capacity of which is 32 GB. It includes four sections of 8 GB each, being built on the base of top-grade Samsung B-die chips and featuring the effective frequency of 4,000 MHz at the 1.35 V operating voltage. The tested latency looks like 19-23-23-45. As in the case with most similar solutions, the device supports Intel XMP 2.0 overclock profiles.

 

Moreover, the CORSAIR VENGEANCE SODIMM DDR4 4,000MHz 32GB (CMSX32GX4M4X4000C19) kit maximum rating claimed is reached through the XMP 2.0 profile activation, so the user doesn’t have to take great efforts. A motherboard and a processor are to be compatible with such a mode. Considering that SO-DIMM modules are intended mostly for compact systems, they possess no heatsinks in their structure: chips are protected by a sticker.
