During the last Computex event, the Galax vendor exhibited its external graphics card version. As distinguished from most other manufacturers, showing dock stations for GPUs, Galax displayed the ready-assembled device, which is so small that you can take it to be a mini PC.



The product is called Galax SNPR External Graphics Card Enclosure. It has already been equipped with the GeForce GTX 1060 graphics accelerator, which is more likely than not built on a special printed circuit board with the express aim of being utilized in such a dock unit.


To minimize the ready-made solution dimensions to the greatest possible extent Galaxy elected not to install an internal power supply. The product is powered by a 45 W outer unit. Gigabyte has surfaced a budget-oriented mini-PC of Brix series, entitled Brix GB-BPCE-3350. The new-comer is designed on Intel Apollo Lake CPU (14 nm) and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 graphics core. The Intel Celeron N3350 operates at 1.1 GHz frequency but might be overclocked up to 2.4 GHz (TDP – 6 W). The GPU runs at 200-650 MHz frequency.



Gigabyte Brix GB-BPCE-3350 comes with a pair of SO-DIMM DDR3L memory modules which operate at 1866 MHz frequency (maximum of 8 GB). Storage subsystem is introduced by a single SATA III port and microSD card-reader. The availability of a single M.2 2230 slot ensures the model’s expansion facilities. The American EVGA Co. is presenting a full cover water unit for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|ngp|n Edition graphics accelerators. The device belongs to the Hydro Copper series and is produced under the 400-HC-5799-B1 code mark. It is already available in the overseas supplier’s authorized online store.



The novelty transfers heat away from the Nvidia GP102 GPU, memory chips and power system elements.
