Thermaltake Chaser A71 LCS Chassis with BigWater 850 GT on Board

Thermaltake Technology, a renowned Taiwanese manufacturer of PC hardware components, is going to release a new full-tower chassis of Chaser A41 series. Codenamed Chaser A71 LCS, the model distinguishes itself by a black stylish case with blue stripes on the frontal panel, a large transparent window on the side panel, and a gaming-type LED backlight. The overall dimensions of the new-comer are estimated as 537x205x565 mm, while the total weight reaches up 10 kg.



Thermaltake Chaser A71 LCS boasts some incredible capacity facilities. Thus, it is able to accommodate motherboards of E-ATX standard, three external drives of 5.25-inch form-factor, one external drive of 3.5-inch standard, as well as eight internal PCI cards and five bays for 3.5/2.5-inch drives. The chassis is ready to house rather voluminous graphics adapters, the maximal length of which equals to 244 mm, and rather high CPU coolers that reach up 160 mm.

Last six years the Intel HEDT (High-End DeskTop) platform has been the leader at the market of highly-efficient desktop user systems because of simple absence of competitors. This fact allowed Intel to set the standards of new technologies integration, the changes extent, time limits of new processing units outcome, and, of course, of their price.


The price for premium class processing units by Intel, (the Skylake-X line is among them) is usually high. However, now Intel faces pressure from the opponents’ side, that’s why the price for LGA2066-microchips is pretty lower than usually.

If to compare with the processing units of Broadwell-E line with the same quantity of computing cores the cheapening turns to me more than 40 percents, and considering the initial price of HEDT-class CPU, it flows into some hundreds dollars.

The Highly Effective Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC Graphics Accelerator

The Galax Company is ready to release the GeForce GTX 1050 OC graphics accelerator with a slight factory overclock.



This graphics card is based on the 14 nm Pascal GP107 graphics chip and features 640 streaming processors. The base and boosted core frequencies correspond to 1,366 and 1,468 MHz comparing to 1,354 and 1,455 MHz of reference units. There are 2 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit bus and with the frequency of 7,008 MHz. Being a Pascal-based device, this specialty is designed with FinFET technology and supports DirectX 12 for the fast and smooth gaming session.


The graphics accelerator is equipped with a one-fan cooling system (the diameter of the cooler is 90 mm). Displays can be connected via such ports, as DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort. The product takes two expansion slots in the chassis.


Galax GeForce GTX 1050 OC will be on sale since 23rd of December at the approximate price of $140.
