DAS-drive is a completely unique device, targeted specifically at business owners and home enthusiasts. This is a multi-functional device developed for the connection directly to the host-systems which can be represented by home PC, router with USB interface, server or some other gadget. CFI Group, primarily known by PSU development and supply, has introduced an innovative storage solution in the form of its DAS CFI-B8253JDGG model. Shuttle, a renowned Taiwanese designer of mini-PCs and barebone systems, has unveiled its newest NAS – the XPC KS10. It is housed in a solid aluminum case, featuring 124x60x205 mm dimensions. One of the major peculiarities pertained to the model is the support for WEP 64/128-bit encoding, as well as for WPA and WPA2 standards. Shuttle XPC KS10 is developed on SoC Marvell 88F6707 processor (800 MHz frequency) on the basis of ARM Cortex-A7 cores. It is accompanied by 256 MB RAM, 1 GB flash-memory, and SD/SDXC/SDHC card reader with automatic copying option. The manufacturer insists that this NAS might be employed not only as network storage but also as a media server with DLNA support, FTP server, iTunes server, or print server.
