LG Introduces Cinema 4K 31MU97 PC Monitor

Graphic designers, photo editors and fans of prime-quality imaging are now pleased by the future release of a new professional PC monitor from LG, codenamed 31MU97. The model belongs to Cinema 4K generation, providing for the best viewing/work experience. It is based on 31-inch IPS panel with 17:9 aspect ratio and features an industry-leading Digital Cinema 4K 4096x2160 pixels resolution. The release date will be announced shortly.



LG 31MU97 boasts 97% color gamut in DCI-P3 environment and up to 99.5% gamut in Adobe RGB environment. In order to cover the most colors, the display employs 10-bit presentation. The integrated IPS panel ensures the widest viewing angles (178 degrees H/V) and the highest dynamic contrast – 1M:1. In addition, a large screen area allows users to include more tools and several windows into the working area.

A New Series of Haswell-Based Gigabyte Brix Mini-PCs

The appearance of Brix mini-PCs last spring was Gigabyte’s debut in this market segment. The first products were elaborated specifically for Intel Ivy Bridge processors. However, the company decided to update the line of ultra-compact PCs with four new models. Entitled GB-BXCE-2955, GB-BXi7-4500, GB-BXi5-4200, and GB-BXi3-4010, the products are characterized by the support of power-efficient Intel Haswell CPUs.



The most efficient model is Gigabyte GB-BXi7-4500 with the integrated Intel Core i7-4500U processor (1.8/3.0 GHz), whereas the least efficient turns to be Gigabyte GB-BXCE-2955, based on Intel Celeron 2955U (1.4 GHz). At the same time, Gigabyte GB-BXi5-4200 is equipped with Intel Core i5-4200U CPU (1.6/2.6 GHz) and Gigabyte GB-BXi3-4010 comes with Intel Corei3-4010U solution (1.7 GHz).


Except for diverse CPUs, all four Brix mini-PCs feature practically analogous specifications:

A 2-Fan Cooler GeForce GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2G Graphics Card From GIGABYTE

The GIGABYTE company has officially introduced a new graphics card, named GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2G (GV-N1050WF2-2GD). It possesses such peculiarities as refined PC-board design and a modified cooling system.



GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2G is based on a 14 nm NVIDIA GP107-300 GPU, supporting 640 CUDA, 40 TMU and 32 ROP. This video card can operate in one of pre-set modes – “Gaming” or “OC”. Its frequency formula goes in accord with the benchmark of 1354 / 1455 MHz in the first case and 1379 / 1493 MHz in the second. At the same time 2 GB of GDDR5 memory work at the reference effective frequency of 7008 MHz.


The PC-board is improved due to the Ultra Durable VGA company concept and an enhanced 4+1-phase power subsystem construction with one 6-pin PCIe connector.
