Unusual PC Monitor HP Envy 27 Review

High-end PC monitors segment is abundant in models of different frameworks, designs and facilities. Nevertheless, the majority of manufacturers offer rather alike solutions, leaving demanding consumers dissatisfied. HP is the company known for challenging the rising demands, so the introduction of HP Envy 27 was an ‘expected surprise’ for all interested parties. This monitor distinguishes itself by an unusual design, remarkable specifications, and traditionally high price. It’s time to vindicate those privileges de visu.

PC Monitor HP Envy 27 features the following specifications:

— dimensions: 622x454x140 mm, weight — 6.9 kg;

— panel: type — AH-IPS, backlight – W-LED, aspect ratio/diagonal – 16:9/27-inch, resolution – 1920x1080, maximal brightness – 250 cd/m2, response time – 7 ms (GtG), viewing angles – 178/178 (down/across), number of displayed colors – 16.7 m, contrast – 1000:1 (static) and 10M:1 (dynamic);

Shipments of EKWB EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Aorus Water Blocks Will Start on the 31st of May

EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Aorus is a novelty by EKWB, meant for Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 3D cards. This water block transfers heat from the GPU, memory chipsets and voltage controllers.



The latest product possesses a central split-flow cooling system ensuring the highest chilling productivity. Moreover, low hydrodynamic resistance allows using the water unit even with pumps of low capacity.


The novelties will be available in two versions. The copper base in both cases will be nickelized, and the top is produced out of POM Acetal material or out of acrylic plastic. The second variant has two 3 mm holes for LEDs.


The price is the same for the two options and constitutes about 115 EUR. Preordering is already launched, and shipments start is planned for May 31st. Customers may also purchase a special plate to mount it at the backside of the PC-board. The black one costs 30 EUR, and the nickelized — 38 EUR.

Gigabyte Intros GA-J1800N-D2PH Motherboard

Gigabyte is set to unveil in the European market its latest mini-ITX motherboard, codenamed GA-J1800N-D2PH. Featuring 170x170 mm dimensions, the greenhorn is targeting small-sized entry-level desktop PCs. It boasts Ultra Durable 4 Plus hardware base with high-quality components on board. European customers will be able to acquire this model for a price tag of 50 EUR.



Unlike the majority of rival solutions, Gigabyte GA-J1800N-D2PH already comes equipped with a CPU: Intel Celeron (Bay Trail-D), 2.41 GHz nominal frequency, 2.58 GHz dynamic frequency, 1 MB cache L2, integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 792 MHz frequency, 10 W TDP. Due to low power consumption, it might be cooled by a passive cooler.


The motherboard accommodates two SO-DIMM slots for the installation of two-channel DDR3L-1333 MHz memory modules (up to 8 GB). Its other facilities include a pair of SATA II 3 Gb/sec ports, a single PCI slot, one USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports, one gigabit Ethernet port, …
