Asus Unveils GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Black Graphics Card

Asus is about to release another addition to the GeForce GTX 970 series of adapters – the GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Black. This videocard is differentiated by a totally black exterior (including PCB, fans and heatpipes) with bright-red details. Besides, it might boast the implementation of a factory overclocking as well as an advanced cooling system. Asus recommends selling the new-comer at the price tag of about 400 EUR.



Asus GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU II OC Black is based on Nvidia Maxwell GM204 GPU with 1664 stream processors, 64 ROPs, and 104 TMUs. It runs at 1114 MHz (nominal)/1253 MHz (dynamic) clock frequencies. The card is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory (256-bit interface), operating at 7000 MHz frequency. The integrated rear panel accommodates three DisplayPort video ports, one DVI and one HDMI 2.0 ports.

Cooler Master N300 and N500: PC Cases of Medium Price Tier

Cooler Master announces a release of two new PC cases of mid-tower form-factor. Codenamed N300 and N500, the couple belongs to the medium price tier products and is differentiated by a laconic design combined with a thoughtfully elaborated cooling. Each model features a totally black coating and grid-like frontal panel. In retail market these cases will be offered in two framework variations: with blind side panels and with a large transparent window on one of the panels.



Both models are thought to support motherboards of standard ATX and micro-ATX dimensional type. The most notable peculiarity is the cooling system that primarily consists of two pre-installed 120 mm fans (in the frontal and rear parts of the case); however, this pair might be easily supplemented by seven (with blind construction) or five (with windowed construction) fans more. Moreover, there is a feasibility of incorporating a liquid-cooling system. Some key specifications of both novices are featured below.

Cooler for graphics cards Deepcool Dracula

Radiator Deepcool with a frightening name is big and heavy, takes three adjacent PCI-E slots, and is expensive, but the efficiency is worth of consideration. About a year ago, the company Deepcool Industries Co., Ltd. released a cooler for graphics cards with high-sounding name Dracula.



The model has proved very successful, it stood out with very high level of efficiency and, most importantly, it is compatible with many video cards. But during time after release of «Dracula» AMD and NVIDIA have released new video cards, with some of which the cooler is not compatible. In particular, the lower the location of the GPU chip Tahiti requires revision of the cooler and Deepcool was not losing time, releasing a second version of Dracula.
