Rosewill Introduces PSU Line of 80 Plus Platinum Standards

Rosewill, Californian hardware manufacturer, has gladdened its potential customers with a new PSU line codenamed Fortress. The major peculiarity of this line is that all products are characterized by rather high efficiency coefficient: up to 94% in 230 V alternating current networks. The new line involves models of 450W, 550W, 650W, and 750W showings which have already received 80 Plus Platinum certificate.

Low power dissipation is achieved exactly due to the high efficiency which reduces ventilation demands immensely. The employment of 135 mm fans provided for the perceptible decreased of noise. Those features are considered to be the basic attraction for the customers.

All four models in Fortress line are developed according to a similar scheme with a single 12 V bus. The chief differentiation between the models lies in the output capacity and a cable set. Hence, the high-order PSU is capable to give current of up to 62.5 A; in the aggregate with the available 4 …

Kingston Intros SSDNow Drives for Cost-Conscious Customers

Kingston Digital, a global designer of data storage and memory solutions, announces the release of a cost-effective SSD to extend V300 series. Codenamed Kingston SSDNow V300, the drives are intended specifically for cost-conscious consumers looking to upgrade their desktop or mobile systems. Under the claimed data, the new drives are ten times faster than standard HDDs and feature outstanding speed characteristics, where the spindle achieves 7200 rpm.

Kingston SSDNow V300 is based on SandForce SF-2281 controller and employs SATA 3 interface. The manufacturer offers its new products in three variations of 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacity. Due to the implementation of an updated NAND flash-memory, developed under 19 nm technological process, SSDNow can boast 450 Mb/sec of consecutive Read/Write speed. At the same time, the showings ascribed to the random Read (4KB) operations demonstrate 85000 IOPS for all available models; however, when it goes about random Write operations, the …

Mushkin Showcases New Reactor Solid-State Drives

Mushkin Enhanced is about to launch a new series of top-tier SSDs within the framework of Reactor series. The series, represented by three models of 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB capacity, is targeting up-to-date gaming and high-performance systems. The greenhorns are developed in 2.5-inch form-factor with 7 mm thickness only and SATA III 6 Gb/sec interface.

Mushkin Reactor drives take Silicon Motion SM2246EN controller in cooperation with MLC NAND flash-memory as the basis. Their utmost sequential data transfer speed equals to 560 Mb/sec and 460 Mb/sec on Read/Write operations respectively, while random data transfer speed achieves 74.000 IOPS and 76.000 IOPS correspondingly.

The triple is thought to operate 1.5 million hours without failures in rather tough conditions (in working environments with up to 70 degrees temperature). All models support TRIM instructions, DevSleep mode that prolongs standalone operation of a mobile device on battery power supply, and the newest …
