Intel Core i3-7360X Is a Two-Core Processing Unit Aimed at the LGA2066 Platform

Lately the prototype of an Intel Core i3-7360X processor has been got sight of in China. Judging by the name, one may assume it’s a newer version of the 2-core/4-thread Intel Core i3-7350K (2/4 х 4.2 GHz) model with the unlocked multiplier for the Socket LGA1151 platform. But after comparing photos of these CPUs we can see, that Intel Core i3-7360X is more massive and aimed at Socket LGA2066 HEDT platforms.



Key specifications report, that Intel Core i3-7360X is almost identical to Core i3-7350K of the LGA1151 structural design. The latest silicon offers four MB of the tertiary cache and the rated 112 W TDP. It is also equipped with a 2-channel DDR4 RAM controller and the PCI Express 3.0 controller (16 lanes).


The recommended price of this specialty is expected to be around 220 USD, which is approximately 1,699 CNY. So it can be placed on a par with Intel Core i5-7600 (4/4 x 3.5 – 4.1 GHz; $213 – 224) and AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (6/12 x 3.2 – 3.6 GHz; $219).

ASRock Unleashes Hyper OC Series of Overclocking-Oriented Mainboards

ASRock is thought to be an innovator in the development of hardware know-hows. The Computex 2016 came as no exclusion: the company introduced a lineup of overclocked mainboards which joined Hyper OC series. Initially, the lineup consisted of three models – H170 Pro4/Hyper, B150M Pro4/Hyper & H110M-DS/Hyper; further on, it will be replenished by three other models – Fatal1ty H170 Performance/Hyper, Fatal1ty B150 Gaming K4/Hyper & B150A-X1/Hyper.



As seen from the codenames, the motherboards are based on Intel B150, H170 and H110 chipsets which employ ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine controller; it overclocks Intel Skylake CPUs by means of BCLK alteration, without dislocating other components. The new-comers support the installation of superfast DDR4 RAM, graphics cards with PCI-e 3.0 x16 interfaces as well as voluminous drives (including Ultra M.2).

Area Claims the Development of Four New Expansion Cards

Area, a Japanese hardware retail company, has voiced its intentions to release four new expansion cards with SATA III interface and USB 3.0 ports. The announced products are called to present additional expansion facilities to PC systems. According to the present-day data, the release will include four models: PE4U3E-3E1 Sport Quattro, D-EP34U3R-S3, SD-PEU3R-2T2IL, and S-PESA3ES2L.



The first model, codenamed PE4U3E-3E1 Sport Quattro, will be based on Etron EJ188 controller. It will accommodate four USB 3.0 ports, three of which are external and the other one – internal. This expansion card will employ PCI Express 2.0 x2 bus for the connection to the PC interface.


The second model, codenamed D-EP34U3R-S3, will operate under the supervision of Renesas D720202 controller. The model will include two external and two internal USB 3.0 ports.
