Lite-On Now Offers CV6 SSDs Performed in the М.2 and 2.5-inch Formats

The Lite-On Co. has demonstrated the CV6 line solid state drives, aimed at the consumer market. The devices are designed for utilizing with desktop PCs, nettops, laptops and ultrabooks.



The family mentioned incorporated 2.5-inch form factor and М.2 2280 format solutions. The dimensions in the first case are 100 × 69.85 × 7 mm, in the second – 22 × 80 × 3.65 mm. The novelties weigh 60 g and 10 g respectively.


Drives of the 2.5” typical size will be made in 128, 256 and 512 GB modifications. The sequential read speed comes up to 520 MBps, and the sequential write speed reahes 450 MBps. The IOPS (input/output operations per second) ratio in read/write modes stands at 58 th/26 th with the low-end model and at 85 th/45 th with the two samples left.

LaCie Puts 5big NAS Pro Storage on Sale

LaCie, a French supplier of external HDD storages, RAID arrays and network storages, has started the sales of its new NAS storage with network connection. Codenamed 5big NAS Pro, this product is intended to fulfill a range of tasks, including a joint and remote access to files and data backup processes. The storage is estimated for five disk bays and can be best applied in corporate environment.



The new-comer features 173x220x196 mm dimensions and is delivered with a 3-year limited warranty. The users have got a chance to choose between the three variations of the NAS: just a casing without disks, a casing with five disks of 10TB capacity, and a casing with five disks of 20TB capacity. The price fluctuates correspondingly from $529 for just the casing and $2199 for 20TB capacity.
