Ultra-compact NAS Synology DS411 Slim Review

The market of NAS servers is seeing a violent development due to the heightened demand in business and home segments. This fact is explained by the high-performance characteristics and comparatively enormous volume capacities. However, the army of customers, who give preference to the combination of efficiency and design, is continually rising, stimulating the necessity of producing high-end and fashionable NAS-servers. The new DiskStation DS411slim from Synology can boast both, an advanced performance and ergonomic design to satisfy the needs of any customer.

Design and Layout

Synology DS411 Slim is able to strike the customers with its compact dimensions and 'glamorously-strict' design. It will blend with any environment and is easily transportable. This goes beyond all assumptions as the external enclosure covers a multi-functional server with eSATA and USB interfaces, as well as Ethernet. This NAS can be applied for the accomplishment of varied tasks and processes, …

Intel Compute Stick With Intel Apollo Lake CPU

In the year of 2015 the Intel Company announced a mini PC with a completely new layout, named Intel Compute Stick. According to its dimensions it resembles a mobile 3G adapter or a slightly enlarged typical flash drive, though its functionality lets us consider this sample to be a fully-featured PC, which only needs to be connected to the monitor or TV-set through the HDMI interface.

At first the Intel Company and its partners released their versions with Intel Bay Trail CPUs, being later exchanged by the Intel Cherry Trail series solutions. In 2016 even more powerful models with Intel Core m3 and Intel Core m5 (Intel Skylake) CPUs appeared. One can expect, that in the second quarter of 2017 the Intel Compute Stick manufacturers will use the Intel Apollo Lake series chips.

At least two new Intel Compute Stick versions are to be released. The first model will feature 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of ROM eMMC memory and the pre-set 64-bit Windows 10 Home OS. The second version will …

Raijintek Introduces Three CPU Coolers for Budget-Oriented Customers

Raijintek, a newly-established hardware developer, puts on sale three CPU coolers, targeted primarily at budget-oriented customers. Along with bright codenames, — Erebos, Themis and Aidos — the triple received a bright design: a silver-like heatsink block, a white fan and a raspberry-red fan frame. Each model is able to efficiently cope with the cooling down of all systems with medium loading.

The first model, Raijintek Erebos, consists of a voluminous perforated heatsink block with thirty-four plates. The plates are pierced by six heatpipes (6 mm each) and are accompanied by a 140 mm fan (Aeolus). To say more, this cooler is appropriate for a passive cooling process, due to a large heatsink with perfect heat dissipation facilities. The model comes to the market at the price of € 34,90.

The next model, Raijintek Themis, also features a voluminous heatsink section. In combination with four U-shape copper heatpipes, this heatsink is able to provide for an effective …
