The CORSAIR Company celebrates its 10th anniversary since the first release of power units. This manufacturer has already passed out 10 mln of power supply devices. To mark this great event out the company presented a snow-white CORSAIR RM1000i Special Edition model with white fan LED-lighting.



There will be only 100 samples available on sale, each having its own serial number. The overall CORSAIR RM1000i Special Edition power equals to 1,000 W, and the efficiency factor is 90% (the 80 PLUS Gold certification is received). By default it uses eight +12V virtual circuits with 40 А load capacity, though if necessary, one can put them into one powerful +12V channel with the max output capability of 1,000 W.

The GIGABYTE company has officially introduced a new graphics card, named GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2G (GV-N1050WF2-2GD). It possesses such peculiarities as refined PC-board design and a modified cooling system.



GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 WINDFORCE 2G is based on a 14 nm NVIDIA GP107-300 GPU, supporting 640 CUDA, 40 TMU and 32 ROP. This video card can operate in one of pre-set modes – “Gaming” or “OC”. Its frequency formula goes in accord with the benchmark of 1354 / 1455 MHz in the first case and 1379 / 1493 MHz in the second. At the same time 2 GB of GDDR5 memory work at the reference effective frequency of 7008 MHz.


The PC-board is improved due to the Ultra Durable VGA company concept and an enhanced 4+1-phase power subsystem construction with one 6-pin PCIe connector. Akasa, the taiwan manufacturer of compact PC cases and reasonably priced cooling systems, has unveiled its plans to release a modern Galatico chassis for Intel NUC systems, compatible with the compact Intel NUC NUC6i7KYK computer.



This product is remarkable for aluminium lips on each side, which act as a heatsink for the processing unit. Four copper heat pipes transfer heat from the 45 W Intel Core i7-6770HQ (4 cores/8 threads, 2.6/3.5 GHz, Iris Pro Graphics 580) CPU to the framework. All case components are produced with the use of aluminium, so Galatico can be called a huge CPU cooler. Inner structure offers a seat for a 2.5-inch drive. The dimensions of the specialty are 383 х 213 х 93 mm.


The front and back interface ports sets correspond to Intel NUC mini PC slots, excluding the card reader slot.


Unfortunately, the exact price and retail starting date are unknown, but, presumably, Akasa Galatico will cost $300–400.
