Biostar Announces N3150NH Mainboard with Integrated CPU

The inventory of Biostar’s mini-ITX motherboards was replenished by a new uncommon model – the N3150NH. Its key peculiarity is the availability of a 4-core Intel Celeron N3150 CPU onboard. The processor (Intel Braswell family, 14 nm technological process) comes equipped with an integrated Intel HD graphics core and a passive cooler. Its nominal clock frequency makes up 1.6 GHz, while on overclocking it accelerates up to 2.08 GHz frequency.



Biostar N3150NH houses two SO-DIMM slots, estimated for 8 GB DDR3-1600 MHz memory modules (two-channel operational mode). The connection of drives is realized via a pair of SATA III 6 Gb/sec ports. There is a possibility to install one expansion card thanks to a single PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot. Network facilities are ensured due to Realtek RTL8111H controller that supports SmartSpeedLAN utility, whereas audio production becomes possible due to the integration of Realtek ALC662 controller.

HP Employs Processors AMD Athlon II X2 221 and Sempron X2 198

The release of hybrid AMD processors of A series was announced about a year ago, however, their actual appearance in the market was delayed for a few months. It is a well-known fact that a part of those processors for Socket FM1 platform has got idle graphics block; this part of processors has been codenamed Athlon and Sempron. The two processor models from this series Athlon II X2 221 and Sempron X2 198 can be currently found in PCs manufactured by HP company.



Both processors have been observed in the list of specifications of desktop PCs delivered by HP: Athlon II X2 221 is employed in HP Pavillon p6-1169cx and p6-1226cn models, while Sempron X2 198 is employed in HP Pavillion p6-1152cx, 1230cx, 1231cx, and 1159cx models. The major peculiarity of such technological solution is that HP PCs with those processors are delivered only to the Chinese market.

Sapphire Launches Nitro R9 Fury 4G HBM Graphics Card

Sapphire, a well-known manufacturer of top-notch graphics solutions, is glad to announce the launch of a new high-performance video card, entitled Nitro R9 Fury 4G HBM. The greenhorn is available in two modifications which differ by GPU clocks (AMD Radeon R9 Fury). The first version offers 1050 MHz frequency, while the second version runs at 1020 MHz frequency. Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G HBM rests upon an improved PCB with an enforced VRM and high-quality hardware base. The card employs 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with 512-bit bandwidth.
