AMD Has Officially Launched the Sale of Its Ryzen 7 CPUs

The AMD has just officially announced the beginning of its AMD Ryzen CPUs sale, designed for desktop PCs. The development of these processors took 4 years, and now customers can enjoy the results of the process – the up-to-date CPUs, based on the brand-new AMD Zen microarchitecture.



The first to hit the stores were three 16-thread 8-core Ryzen 7 line samples: 1700, 1700X and 1800X. The base clock of Ryzen 7 1800X is 3.6 GHz, 1700X – 3.4 GHz, 1700 – 3.0 GHz. Boost frequencies are equal to 4.0, 3.8 and 3.7 GHz respectively. 1800X and 1700X feature 95 W TDP, the 1700 model’s rate is 65 W. Ryzen 7 1800X costs $499, 1700X – $399, 1700 – $329.

In the second quarter 6- and 4-core Ryzen 5 products will be released, and later this year they will be joined by Ryzen 3 models. All these devices are intended for system boards with AM4 sockets and possess an unlocked multiplier.

ASRock to Release BeeBox Mini-PC with Type-C Interface

ASRock has replenished its series of Intel NUC mini-PCs with a new model – the BeeBox. Its key peculiarity is the support for USB Type-C interface. The model features 118.5x110x46 mm dimensions, satisfying basic corporate and home entertainment needs. In addition, it boasts low power consumption level combined with a strong performance.



ASRock BeeBox will be available in three versions: as a barebone PC, a full-blown system without OS and a full-blown system with OS. Each version will be housed either in a classic black, a stylish gold or a pure white chassis.


The heart of the model is Intel Braswell platform (64-bit, 14 nm) equipped with a two-core Celeron N3000 CPU, running at 1.04/2.08 GHz frequency (basic/dynamic). There will be versions with a four-core Celeron N3150 CPU. Both processors feature 4/6 TDP only. Besides, all computers come with an integrated Intel HD graphics.

Aresze is going to release its new series of chassis developed in Mid-Tower form factor. Codenamed Subverter 7650B, these chassis are primarily intended at consumers with the heightened demands to the layout and integration but with rather 'modest' financial possibilities. Subverter 7650B series can boast an outstanding efficiency pertained to cooling down. In addition, the internal zoning and integration of this model are similar to that implemented in more costly line of products manufactured by Aresze.



Aresze took all efforts to achieve the maximal results applied to the efficient cooling down. Thus, the framework zoning for the airflow distribution has been designed according to the company's own technology. The bay designated for graphics cards, which can support the cards of up to 300 mm in length, can be applied for the wide range of solutions.
