Qualcomm to Enter Into Contract with GlobalFoundries

Qualcomm, a world-known provider of chips for mobile gadgets, has entered into a contract with GlobalFoundries company with the intention to develop chips based on 28 nm technology. Such information has been voiced by an authoritative Chinese publication Commercial Times, referring to the reliable sources. It is presupposed that the manufacturer will start the first dispatches for Qualcomm in the end of this year. The previously voiced data claimed that Qualcomm had arranged orders of 28 nm chips from UMC with the similar dispatch dates.



The estimated reason for the cooperation with GlobalFoundries is the insufficient delivery of 28 nm chips by TSMC. Moreover, Nvidia is supposedly targeting at the cooperation with one more manufacturer except for the TSMC as well. The Neutron NX500 Novelties from Corsair Are Equipped With a Decoratory Cover and a Rear Backplate

The American Corsair Company is going to satisfy high-productive SSD zealots' needs by releasing new Neutron NX500 series products, already mentioned in the USA and Western European countries’ price lists.



Being performed in the PCI Express expansion card form factor, Corsair Neutron Series NX500 solid state drives are equipped with a fully-featured heatsink, a decorator cover and a rear backplate. These products of 400 and 800 GB capacity use a PCI Express 3.0 x4 (32 Gbps) interface and an NVMe protocol. The sequential data reading speed of both Neutron NX500 devices reaches 3 GB/s in ATTO Disk Benchmark and 2.4 GB/s in CrystalDiskMark, the consecutive writing velocity comes up to 2.4 GB/s in ATTO and 1.6 GB/s in CDM. 4 KB random IOPS rates are impressive –300,000 (reading) and 270,000 (writing).
