First SSDs from Asus to be Released Already in May

First seen at CES 2013 exhibition, Asus ROG RAIDR solid-state drives are on their final stage of development before an official release in May. Unlike the majority of contemporary SSD solutions in the market, the product from Asus features quite distinct form-factor, similar to expansion cards. The new drive is known to employ PCI Express 2.0 x2 interface with the support of x16/x8/x4 slots.



According to the preliminary data, ROG RAIDR solid-state drives will be available in two capacity variations – 120 GB and 240 GB. Both models will run under a couple of SandForce SF2281 controllers, comprised into RAID 0 array. MLC NAND flash-memory chips from Toshiba (designed under 19 nm technological process) will be the heart of revolutionary SSDs. Irrespective of the overall differentiation, ROG RAIDR will support a range of technologies traditional SSDs support, including S.M.A.R.T., TRIM and NCQ.

MSI to Release Wind Top AG2712 All-in-One PC in Short Order

Unveiled at CeBIT 2013, Wind Top AG2712 all-in-one PC is soon going to be released by MSI officially. This model proudly joined MSI Gaming series product line and boasts a massy set of components targeting gamers. It operates under Windows 8 OS and is delivered with an external PSU of 180W power. Overall PC dimensions equal to 672.23x482.96x66 mm.



Wind Top AG2712 features 27-inch display with LED backlit and Full HD resolution (1920x1080). This all-in-one solution is based on four-core Intel Core i7-3630QM processor, running at 2.4 GHz in regular mode and at 3.4 GHz in Turbo mode, and employs Intel HM77 Express chipset. Graphics facilities are introduced by Nvidia GeForce GTX 670M adapter (3 GB/DDR5). Memory subsystem allows the incorporation of up to 16 GB SO-DIMM RAM of DDR3-1333 MHz type; however, the user will have to acquire RAM modules separately from the product.

ViewSonic Outs XG03 Gaming Monitors

ViewSonic has enlarged its lineup of gaming products with another series of monitors – the XG03. The lineup currently consists of two models: XG2703 & XG2703-GS. The key differentiation between them lies in the support for AMD FreeSync (the first model) and Nvidia G-Sync (the second model). Consequently, the GX2703 employs red accents in design, whereas the XG2703-GS uses green detailing.



ViewSonic XG03 is based on 27-inch SuperClear IPS panel, featuring 2560x1440 pixels & 165 Hz refresh rate. The display boasts 16:9 aspect ratio, 178/178 degrees viewing angles, 1000:1 static contrast, 120M:1 dynamic contrast, 300 cd/m2 maximal brightness as well as 4 ms response time.


The abovementioned parameters refer to the XG2703-GS model that is already on sale (estimated price — $699.99). The other model will be released in the nearest future.
