Vendors Present the Shuttle X1 Nettop as a Gaming Mini PC

Shuttle is well-known for its nettops, cases and barebone systems. In the meantime it presented its latest product – a mini PC under the X1 code name.



Despite the fact that a nettop cannot function as a gaming system, a pilot Shuttle X1 hybrid is developed to prove a negative. The novelty will operate the NVIDIA graphics accelerator, support VR content and 4K video.


Reportedly, Shuttle X1 will be based on the unidentified Intel processor. Vendors assure that by the time of release the chipset chosen will be one of the most innovative Intel solutions for devices of such a format. Customers should also expect Intel Optane support and presence of many interfaces for peripherals and accessories connection on the X1 chassis.

Greeting New MSI Radeon R7 and Radeon R9 Graphics Cards Series

Right after an official release of new GPU solutions from AMD, the entire galaxy of graphics cards has filled out the market. MSI was among the first companies to introduce its Radeon R7 and R9 solutions, which replenished three brand lineups: Gaming, Classic and Overclocking. All the models are intended at entry-level users with standard graphics needs, as well as at hard-core enthusiasts with rather steep demands.



MSI Gaming series has been supplemented by three new products, codenamed Radeon R9 270, Radeon R9 270X, and Radeon R9 280X. All of them boast the incorporation of Military Class 4 components to provide for a more reliable functioning. In regard to cooling, the products are equipped with Twin Frozr IV Advanced cooler. Along with the adapters, MSI delivers a dedicated Gaming APP program; it optimizes and enhances their performance by activating the pre-installed profiles with heightened clock frequencies.

Gigabyte GV-N960WF2-4GD: Graphics Card for Multi-Screen Platforms

It goes without saying that modern games advance tough demands towards the volume of video buffer. This aspect emerges full-blown when it goes about the creation of multi-screen platforms and during manipulations with professional graphics. Considering this fact, Gigabyte has launched one more representative of GeForce GTX 960 series – the GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming (codename: GV-N960WF2-4GD) with an enlarged GDDR5 video memory (4 GB instead of 2 GB).



Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 WindForce 2X Gaming is developed on Nvidia GM206 GPU (Nvidia Maxwell architecture) that can operate in two modes, presumed by OC Guru II software package. The first mode, Gaming, offers etalon 1127 MHz/1178 MHz clock frequency, while the second one, OC, is distinguished by increased frequencies: 1152 MHz/1203 MHz (nominal/dynamic). In its turn, video memory runs at 1752 MHz (nominal) and 7010 MHz (effective) frequency.
