MSI Announces GTX 960 Series of Graphics Cards

MSI is glad to introduce its own version of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 960 GPU. This time the company offers three graphics cards, one of which keeps an etalon design (GTX 960), whereas the other two take an original design (GTX 960 OC and GTX 960 Gaming 2G). The triple differentiates not only by external features but by operational clock frequencies as well.



The heart of all three models is Nvidia GM206 GPU with 1024 CUDA cores, 32 ROPs and 64 TMUs. MSI GeForce GTX 960 runs at 1127 MHz (nominal)/1178 MHz (dynamic) frequency; at the same time, MSI GeForce GTX 960 OC and MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2G run at 1178 MHz/1241 MHz & 1216 MHz/1279 MHz correspondingly. All three new-comers are equipped with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory having 128-bit interface; it operates at 1800 MHz (nominal)/7200 MHz (efficient) frequency.

Acer ProDesigner BM320 4K – A Monitor for Designers

This is still a question about monitors: what buyers need more – highly precise specifications of the image or gaming versions.

4K Monitors for professional graphical design usually got less attention that their gaming analogues. But they are important for a number of users too.

Gigabyte introduced a full-color «3D BIOS»

Paying tribute to fashion design that encourages the creation of color, which is smooth and simple, Gigabyte had created something called «3D BIOS», which is actually UEFI, which offers a «more intuitive» way to navigate the menu and set the motherboard settings.



New 3D BIOS allows both novice and mainstream users to get an easier way to interact with the BIOS, which will be first used on the motherboard Gigabyte X79, designed for enthusiasts and overclockers of Sandy Bridge E platform.


Fortunately, the motherboard from Gigabyte will have to double the embodiment of UEFI BIOS, which will ensure its operation both in 3D BIOS, and in extended BIOS mode. Switching between two of these modes will be performed with one mouse click.
