The third generation of chips Thunderbolt will be released in the second quarter of the next year

Data interface Thunderbolt from Intel company entered the market in February 2011 in the Apple MacBook Pro laptop. By combining in the one interface PCI Express and DisplayPort, it now offers data rates up to 10 Gbit / s. On the more common personal computers the interface began to be applied recently, as part of the laptop and PC top price category.



Intel plans to introduce a new controller interface Redwood Ridge Thunderbolt for use in personal computers in the second quarter of next year. It is likely that the new controllers will form the platform of the Shark Bay for next generation processors under the name of Haswell.


Controllers Redwood Ridge will support completely the same data rate 10 Gb / s, interface DisplayPort v1.1 and function DisplayPort v1.2 Redriver. FSP Launches Its Mid Tower CMT510 Chassis Marketing

FSP began selling its CMT510 chassis, performed in the Mid Tower form factor. The novelty is designed for assembling gaming desktop systems with the austere, though, rather spectacular exterior.



CMT510 obtained three tempered glass panels (the front one and both side panels). It also got four fans with multicoloured LED-backlighting. Three 120 mm RGB coolers are installed in the front section, and one – at the rear. Several operating lighting modes are supported.


Dimensions (491 × 208 × 448 mm) let this PC case house a liquid cooling system, featuring the 360 mm heatsink. The CPU chilling device must be not higher than 165 mm. The specialty is compatible with motherboards of the ATX, Micro ATX or Mini-ITX form factors. One may mount seven expansion cards maximum. The length of discrete graphics accelerators should not overcome 400 mm. The latest framework by FSP is able to hold two 3.5” storage devices and a pair of 2.5” drives. The company GlacialTech Inc. known as a producer of cheap cooling systems aimed primarily at the lower and medium price segment. They are intended solely to cool the non-overclocked CPU. At the same time, GlacialTech has already made attempts to produce more efficient coolers that can cope with cooling of processors with high heat. It was the Siberia and Alaska, and F101 even before. Developing on its trend, the company has recently released two new models aimed at the medium price segment. It is about Igloo H46 PWM and Igloo H58 PWM.



Both coolers are available in the same decorated cardboard boxes, each on the right side shows the pictures of coolers and a list of supported platforms.
