Corsair ML120 PRO RGB Fan: The wind plays its own music
Introduction
Corsair has expanded the range of case fans with the ML-Magnetic Levitation series, the main feature of which is a bearing based on magnetic levitation technology. It was developed with the participation of specialists from the space agency NASA. The principle of operation is based on the use of magnets that hold the rotating part of the fan above the motor. As a result, they do not touch and friction between them is practically absent. Thanks to this, the average failure time of such fans was increased to 200,000 hours, and allows them to function at higher rotational speeds than conventional fans.
The new line is presented in three variations: ML, ML Pro and ML Pro LED. ML Pro models differ from simple ML with the presence of antivibration rubber corners, and ML Pro LED also boasts LED backlighting. The latter will be available in white, blue and red colors. Corsair is so confident in the perfection of new fans that it extends the factory warranty to five years.

Model Corsair ML120 Pro LED comes in a small package of thick cardboard with dark printing and bright yellow edging. On the front side there is a picture of the fan with a demonstration of active lighting, the name of the novelty, as well as a list of features: a bearing based on magnetic levitation technology, body and rotor design, and a wide range of speed control.
The reverse side complements the above list with one more feature - LED backlighting. For the convenience of information delivery, all technical specifications of the fan are summarized in a single table.
Corsair ML120 Pro LED is located in a special niche of the inner box and is fixed by side inserts of paper, which protects the novelty during transportation.
The components are placed in the upper packing compartment. A warranty brochure is supplied with the fan, four screws for attaching to the walls of the PC case and two cable ties for laying the wires.
Alongside the fans, Corsair includes a multi-language quick-start guide, a warranty manual for Australians with their specific warranty policy, two sets of self-tapping metal screws to install the fans as case fans, a 6-fan ML120 PRO RGB LED hub, and the Lighting Node PRO with an LED extension cable that goes from the hub to the Lighting Node Pro along with a male mini-USB to internal USB 2.0 header cable.

Corsair ML120 Pro LED is built on the basis of magnetic bearings, working on the principle of magnetic levitation. The developers are not the first who use this engineering solution, however, there are very few of such models on the market. The presented Pro LED series is equipped with white LED lighting and for its more spectacular demonstration this line got translucent blades.
The characteristics of the Corsair ML120 Pro LED are pretty good. The fan rotates at a speed of 400 - 2400 rpm, creates an air flow of 20 - 127 m3 / h (12 - 75 CFM), a static pressure of 0.2-4.2 mm of water column, and the noise level does not exceed 37 dBA.
Novelty has removable anti-vibration nozzles at the corners of the fan housing giving it a beautiful stylish look.
Transparent impeller is illuminated by four LEDs built into the fan rotor. On the opposite side there is a habitual label with the following characteristics: voltage 12 V, current consumption up to 0.299 A, power consumption is up to 3.48 W.
Meanwhile, sales have already begun. Prices per Corsair ML120 Pro RGB and ML140 Pro RGB are $ 35 and $ 40 respectively. "SET" of three 120 mm is estimated at $120, and of two140 mm costs $100.
