PowerColor Teases Radeon RX Vega Red Devil Video Cards

Power Color has just unveiled a pair of video cards which belong to Radeon RX Vega Red Devil family. The Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil & the Radeon RX Vega 56 Red Devil models are based on custom PCBs and enforced by 1.5-mm metallic amplified plates on the reverse.



Both new-comers are differentiated by industrial overclocking of graphics cores. The first unit offers 1417/1607 MHz frequency, having in store 4096 stream processors, whereas the second unit employs 3584 stream processors, running at 1526 MHz frequency during overclocking. The couple is equipped with 8 GB HBM2 video memory (2048-bit) that operates at 1890 MHz and 1600 MHz frequency respectively.


The Red Devil graphics cards feature a pair of 8-pin connectors; the recommended by the manufacturer compatible power supply unit must be of 750 W efficiency at the least. ASRock Z77 Extreme6/TB4 will get four ports Thunderbolt

The company ASRock, as well as Gigabyte, appreciates the prospects of cutting-edge interface Thunderbolt, so much that it has supplied motherboard Z77 Extreme6/TB4 with four corresponding slots. The novelty is based on existing models with the prefix Extreme6, but its layout is slightly different from the original. In particular, the place of mini-PCIe slots and a pair of PCI slots are occupied with PCI-E x1, and PCI-E x4.



For those who don’t remember all specification, there is a reminder: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 uses a bunch of processor socket LGA1155 for two-and quad-core CPU Ivy Bridge (22 nm) and Sandy Bridge (32nm) chipset and overclocking Intel Z77 Express. The exact specifications of the new model are not listed. ASUS ROG XG Station 2 Turns a Laptop into a Powerful Gaming System

The ASUS Company has officially presented ROG XG Station 2, a unit, which turns a laptop into a powerful gaming system with VR support.



ROG XG Station 2 is an external docking platform for the discrete graphics accelerator. The device is connected to the notebook via a high-speed Thunderbolt 3 interface (with a USB Type-C port). Additionally there is a USB 3.0 Type-B port.


A full-size graphics card can be installed.


ROG XG Station 2 is suitable for the peripherals connection. It can be accomplished due to the presence of four standard USB 3.0 ports, as well as a network cable jack.

The inbuilt power supply unit delivers the capacity of 600 W.


The dimensions of the ASUS device are the following: 456 × 158 × 278 mm.


This novelty will be on sale at the beginning of the year. We should note, though, that this station is compatible only with select laptops by ASUS. The price of ROG XG Station 2 has not been reported yet.
