Only a couple of weeks are left till the official release of a new cooling system Brocken 2 designed by Alpenfoehn. This is a long-awaited launch, since the fist version of the system, entitled Brocken, was honored to gladden the audience long time ago. Hereby, Brocken 2 has got a wee bit modified framework, if compared with the predecessor. Its dimensions together with a fan equal to 146x100x165 mm.



The base is shaped by means of five 6 mm copper heat pipes, tightly pressed together. Aluminum plates of the heatsink seem to be ‘cut’ in the center, unlike the one-piece construction of plates implemented in Brocken.


Active cooling power is ensured by a nine-blade fan of 140 mm standard size, known as WingBoost 2. The fan supports PWM technology that allows altering its rotational speed within the boundaries of 400-1100 RPM. LG Electronics is going to release a new PC monitor, 27EN43V-B, with 27-inch display. An official release is scheduled for early March. So far, it’s known that the model is based on TN array type equipped with LED backlit and features the maximal resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (Full HD). Its overall dimensions along with a stand equal to 642x203x459 mm.



The implemented stand is more than ordinary with the only possibility of adjusting the angle of gradient, to contrast the multiplicity of commodities found in the majority of contemporary monitors. However, 27EN43V-B can be used as a wall screen due to a dedicated VESA bracket.


The interface panel also offers a set of standard facilities, including 3.5 mm audio slot for the connection of headsets or external speakers, HDMI, mini D-Sub and DVI-D video ports.

KingFast, a Chinese developer and supplier of high-end SSD solutions, decided to present quite a new approach in data caching by releasing a dedicated solid-state drive version. Model K25 Ultra-Cache is designed in 2.5-inch form-factor and is basically destined to fulfill various data caching procedures on availability of a slack HDD that can't cope with caching efficiently. In other words, this drive will add the required speed to the PC in which OS is installed on a traditional HDD. The most beneficial thing is that the customer won't have to deinstall OS in order to enhance the system by K25 Ultra-Cache.



This drive is equipped with 32GB of NAND MLC flash-memory and employs SATA 3Gb/sec interface. It should be mentioned that caching option is realized by means of a pre-installed Nvelo DataPlex program that facilitates all processes. The estimated consecutive Read speed achieves the margin of 270MB/sec, while consecutive Write speed is recorded at 190MB/sec.
