According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the case may accommodate very large components: a video card up to 375 mm (or 400 mm in the absence of the front fans) and a power supply of up to 200 mm in length. CPU cooler may be up to 165 mm high.


Despite the construction of Aerocool P7-C1, the power supply is placed in the most common way, and the board is set to the standard six-millimetre racks. The thumbscrews for fixing it are not supplied.


Let’s have a closer look onto the drive installation. The carriers for 3.5" storage devices are simply stretched on hard drives. They are to be straightened a little to be installed. The 2.5" storage devices are attached to the carriers’ by cogs, and it is possible to mount them not only to the ends, but to the ground as well.


The carriers with the mounted hard drive are simply retracted and sit in place securely enough. And the solid-state drives are fixed to the carriers by thumbscrews.

MMD has produced Philips 278E8QJAB, which is a curved 27-inch display with 178° viewing angles, a 1,800 mm curvature radius and a 1,920 х 1080 pixels resolution.



Among key specifications of this device one can highlight a VA-panel, offering the 60 Hz frame rate and the AMD FreeSync technology support. The high modulation frequency of the edge W-LED backlighting excludes flicker at any brightness. The gray-to-gray response time is 4 msec, the brightness factor is 250 cd/m2, and contrast ratio is 3000:1. Recently the product range of the Zotac Co. has been replenished with two novelties – GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards.



The names suggest that these video cards are of a low profile and represent the most affordable models of the Pascal generation. GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti are fully identic outwardly and feature the same PC-boards, as well as cooling systems with a pair of compact fans. The adapters are of 144.78 х 111.15 mm dimensions.


The lower-order card offers 2 GB of memory, 1,354/1,455 MHz frequency ratio for a core and 7,000 MHz frequency for memory. The higher-end device features 1,290/1,392 MHz and 7,000 MHz frequencies respectively. Memory is doubled. The auxiliary power is not required. When considering the interface set one can distinguish a DisplayPort, an HDMI and a DVI port.

One can stop making wild guesses as far as AMD has voiced the official time frame of the beginning of low-end Ryzen models bulk sale. 6-core CPUs will come out in the 2nd quarter this year, and 4-core Ryzen 3 will be available in the second part of 2017.



Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 will possess the similar architecture as their higher-order counterparts. According to some resources, the only nuance is that in Ryzen 3 the SMT technology will be disabled, however, this device will cost less than $149. Ryzen 5 chips will come in at $175–259 (not much for 6 cores with SMT support).


The top-rank sample among 6-core AMD processors is AMD Ryzen 5 1600X offering the 3.6/4.0 GHz frequency rate. It will cost $259, which is only $15–20 more, than Intel Core i5-7600K. Simultaneously, according to pretests results, Ryzen 5 1600X will be 69% more effective in a multi-threaded context.

Cooler Master has recently designed a couple of novelties, namely MasterLiquid 120 and 240. These are liquid cooling systems, which require no service after installation and are compatible with the main part of modern AMD and Intel platforms, including the top-of-the-line АМ4.



As compared to previous MasterLiquid Pro 120 and 240 models, these specialties are constructed with more compact and cheaper dual chamber pumps of a low profile. Supply sets contain Air Balance series fans, fittings for various sockets, as well as the branded thermal grease. Water units with pumps are connected to aluminium heat sinks with the help of flexible tubing, allowing to separate incoming and outgoing liquid flows and decrease the noise level to the 15 dBA ultimate rate.


MasterLiquid 120 is available at the price of €70, and the 240 model costs €80. Both products are accompanied with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty.

GeIL has announced the release of EVO X DDR4 Memory Kits and Modules for PCs equipped with motherboards based on the Intel X99 and Z170 chipsets.



The key speciality of these products is the GeIL HILM (Hybrid-Independent-Light-Module). These entirely independent solutions feature LEDs, a microcontroller, a mode select switch and two power supply connectors.


On one side of modules there is a 12 volt 4-pin slot for establishing a connection with LED strips on the motherboard. It enables adjustment of the backlighting. Compatibility with MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura and Gigabyte Ambient LED systems is provided. The Microchip Technology Co. has presented a new family of eight-bit PIC microcontrollers with core-independent peripherals. Among common features of these models one can highlight the presence of the internal frequency generator (32 MHz) and the memory boot partition security mechanism meant for protection from the faulty rerecording. Moreover, there is a secure device information area (DIA) storing the device unique identifier and calibration constants. The just-launched controllers are supported by the Microchip MPLAB Xpress with MPLAB Code Configurator (MCC) framework.

Let’s have a quick glare at one of the latest novelties in the market of graphics solutions – another representative of ASUS, to be exact, ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.


Equipment and Design

The card comes in a small box. The package has got extra case pads, VELCRO ties for wires, as well as the code for World of Warships 15 days’ premium mode. A good set for a this class representative.
