KingFast, a Chinese developer and supplier of high-end SSD solutions, decided to present quite a new approach in data caching by releasing a dedicated solid-state drive version. Model K25 Ultra-Cache is designed in 2.5-inch form-factor and is basically destined to fulfill various data caching procedures on availability of a slack HDD that can't cope with caching efficiently. In other words, this drive will add the required speed to the PC in which OS is installed on a traditional HDD. The most beneficial thing is that the customer won't have to deinstall OS in order to enhance the system by K25 Ultra-Cache.



This drive is equipped with 32GB of NAND MLC flash-memory and employs SATA 3Gb/sec interface. It should be mentioned that caching option is realized by means of a pre-installed Nvelo DataPlex program that facilitates all processes. The estimated consecutive Read speed achieves the margin of 270MB/sec, while consecutive Write speed is recorded at 190MB/sec.

Good news for inveterate gamers: Gigabyte launches a new enthusiast-level motherboard, entitled X99 Gaming 5P. The E-ATX greenhorn is designed in a traditional black-and-red color gamut, accompanied with hand-picked hardware elements, including solid-state capacitors Durable Black, server-type chokes etc. Moreover, its key peculiarity is an advanced monitoring system that allows controlling basic parameters (i.e. overclocking, clock frequencies).



Gigabyte X99 Gaming 5P is developed on Intel X99 chipset, ready to house Haswell-E LGA2011-3 processors with the ultimate TDP level of 130-140 W. The VRM subsystem entails 6-phases, 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors. The model boasts eight slots for the latest DDR4-2800 MHz memory kits (up to 64 GB); there is a possibility to install RDIMM modules as well. Expansion slots include four PCI Express 3.0 x16 (with support for 4 video cards in SLI/CrossFireX configurations), three PCI Express 2.0 x1.

The series is represented by five models with two (TS-269 Pro), four (TS-469 Pro), five (TS-569 Pro), six (TS-669 Pro) and eight (TS-869 Pro) disk bays. All the models support hot drive swapping activity that does not require cessation of all operations when there is a need to change one of the drives. Under the company's idea, these NAS products are targeting small and middle business as a primary goal.



All five models are based on two-core Intel Atom D2700 processor, the nominal clock frequency of which achieves 2.13 GHz.
