Promise Increases Volume Capacity of External Drive Pegasus R6

Promise Technology, a global provider of storage solutions, has renewed its Pegasus R6 external drive with Thunderbolt interface adding more volume. The changes were made in the capacity of the drive which was augmented to 18 TB, following the previous models with 12TB. Such augmentation became possible due to the support of 3TB drives. According to the Promise, the renewed device will be of benefit to those consumers who work with video editing and huge files.



Pegasus R6 is characterized by high performance that will be sufficient for the management of several streams of uncompressed video. Thus, this external drive is able to develop the speed of data transfer up to 900 Mb/sec. Such showings prove that Thunderbolt interface surpasses all other up-dated interfaces (USB 3.0, FireWire, etc.) in speed terms.

Arctic Cooling Unveils New Freezer i32 & A32 CPU Coolers

Arctic Cooling AG replenishes its line of CPU coolers with a couple of new-comers. The Freezer i32 and the Freezer A32 feature analogous dimensions (123x95x150 mm), but are targeting to work with different platforms. The first model is compatible with Intel Socket LGA 2011 and 115x platforms, whereas the second version is predestined for the CPUs targeting AMD AM2/AM2+, AM3/AM3+, FM1 and FM2 platforms.



Arctic Cooling Freezer i32 & A32 consist of an aluminum heatsink with 45 thin plates and four U-shaped 6-mm copper heatpipes which support direct touch technology. It goes without saying that these coolers come equipped with a fan. This is a 120 mm propeller that supports PWM technology; the latter enables the change of rotational speed from 0 to 1350 RPM. The maximal TDP level of the catered CPUs should not exceed 150 W.

ASRock Surfaces J3355B-ITX Mainboard

ASRock enters the market with a mainboard, targeting new Intel Apollo Lake CPUs (14 nm, Intel Goldmont micro-architecture). The J3355B-ITX model is thought to be integrated within laptops or entry-level all-in-one solutions. As seen from the codename, the board is developed in mini-ITX form-factor. It comes equipped with Intel Celeron J3355 processor, operating at 2.0-2.5 GHz frequency. The CPU features 10 W TDP; hence, cooling is backed by a noiseless passive cooler.



ASRock J3355B-ITX accommodates a pair of SO-DIMM slots for DDR3/DDRL3 modules with 1866 MHz frequency (up to 16 GB). The board comes with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU that runs at 700 MHz. The connection of drives is realized via two SATA III ports. The incorporated PCIe 2.0 x16 slot is optimal for expansion cards, rather than a VGA card.
