AMD FX-8300 is Already in Retail Trade

Despite the fact that AMD initially scheduled the official release of FX-8300 for 29 December, this CPU can already be found in some Japanese retail stores. Such sudden appearance in free sale allows all potential consumers to get assured in all claimed specifications. Thus, FX-8300 is an eight-core chip of the new generation that is characterized by 95W TDP level. This is a kind of a breakthrough, since its Vishera companions, FX-8350 and FX-8320, consume up to 125W power.



The reduction of power consumption is explained by the decrease of CPU clock frequencies and nominal voltage showings. Hence, the nominal clock frequency recorded with this CPU model makes up 3.3GHz, while in Turbo mode the frequency rises to 3.6GHz. Release of Low-Profile Cooler Slim Silence A-Plus from Gelid

Gelid Solutions, a Hong-Kong based renowned manufacturer of thermal solutions and other PC hardware, has lately presented its low-profile CPU cooler, codenamed Slim Silence A-Plus, for AMD platform. The new cooler is compatible with AMD AM2(+), AM3(+), as well as, FM1. According to the words of the Asian manufacturer, this model is capable to manage processors with the TDP index fluctuating in the measures of 95W.



There is one peculiar feature about Slim Silence A-Plus: its design resembles the design of coolers destined for GPU due to the foveate fan. That is why, customers can sometimes confuse this cooler's destination.

ViewSonic launches 27 "monitor VX2703mh-LED with a fast matrix

The monitor range of U.S. company ViewSonic is replenished with the product VX2703mh-LED. This is a rather large (27 ") widescreen display on the matrix TN + film, low-latency (3 ms GtG), LED backlight and democratic price tag — U.S. $ 300.



The resolution of 1920x1080 pixels suggests that VX2703mh-LED will be a big pixel. Like many other ViewSonic monitors, a new model has a sleek design. The stand allows adjusting the tilt of the display ranging from -3 ° to 16 °. There are stereo outputs 2x2 W, Mini-Jack socket for headphones and microphone, video input DVI-D, HDMI v1.3 and analog D-Sub. The power of display ranges from 17-23 watts in eco mode, up to 28-36 watts in normal mode. It supports standard mounting VESA 100x100 mm.
