The Latest MSI X299 XPower Gaming AC Motherboard Is Built on the Intel X299 System Logic Set

MSI has officially introduced the X299 XPower Gaming AC motherboard, first mentioned at Computex 2017.



The novelty is built on the Intel X299 system logic set and supports operation with Intel Core X-Series processors (LGA2066). There are 8 connectors for DDR4 4133+(OC) memory modules; the maximum RAM volume is 128 GB.


This card is intended for top-level desktop PCs and systems for enthusiasts. Four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots are ready to hold discrete graphics accelerators. One PCIe 3.0 x1 slot can accept an extra expansion card.


X299 XPower Gaming AC lets use up to ten SATA 3.0 ports with the 6 Gbps throughput capability. Moreover, one can link М.2 format SSDs. The product is supplied with a multichannel Realtek ALC1220 audio codec. Other highlights comprise Intel I219-V and Intel I211 gigabit network controllers, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2 support.

ASRock H87 Fatal1ty Performance: Affordable Gaming Motherboard

The launch of Intel Haswell processors was the push for motherboard manufacturers to introduce the products of a new generation. ASRock was not an exclusion, since it offered a lineup of boards for various customer groups. This way, Fatal1ty gaming series has gained two new representatives: high-end Z87 Fatal1ty Professional and more affordable H87 Fatal1ty Performance. The latter is targeting those customers who would like to kill two birds with one stone: create a highly efficient PC system and save the hard-earned money.



Therefore, ASRock H87 Fatal1ty Performance is designed in a standard ATX form-factor. It is based on Intel H87 chipset and features LGA1150 CPU socket. The board is compatible with already introduced Intel processors of the fourth generation (Core i7/i5), as well as with only announced Core i3, Pentium and Celeron.
